Tropical Garden at The Blue Orchid with Pool

Overall the property was mediocre. When we got to the airport we called for transportation, as planned before hand, and there was no response, so we had to rent a driver from the airport. When we got there there was no welcome and the orientation wasn't well coordinated. We found out later by ourselves that they had a whole restaurant that was open to the guests ( we weren't told upon arrival). When we entered the cottage, we realized that there was no AC in the main living area. There was also a sewage smell in one of the bathrooms that was later addressed and fixed (maintenance services were good and prompt). There were some roaches. Guests, be aware that they offer an assigned driver,David who is great!, but the commutes is very pricey. Keep in mind that you will not be within walking distance to the hip strip or other tourist attractions. These costs will add up. We moved into a different room later to extend our stay because of other unforeseen circumstances . This room was situated in their hotel/restaurant building and you could hear EVERYTHING outside the walls. There was a funky musty smell in the room. The maintenance simply masked the smell with ferbreeze. Overall the hospitality was poor other than David who was their driver. He was outstanding! The management was not very friendly and we often woken up with loud knocks on the door.
