Sunset Inn - Charming Beautiful Inn (Second Cabin)

The evening host gentlemen was very welcoming and friendly. He has excellent customer service and truly cares that you are completely satisfied with the experience, he asked us to treat the property as it was our home for the short stay and if we needed anything let him know. Offering to make reservations for us @ a restaurant and provided us many recommendations of places to eat and visit. The room / cabin was nice size very clean and recently remodeled with a gas fireplace to keep the space nice and cozy. The location is excellent, walking distance to downtown and ocean front trails and boardwalk. We began each morning with a 2-3mile walk where you will see many deer, seals and possibly whale sightings from shore, and seabirds. The Neighborhood is very clean and well kept. Beautiful natural landscape and much pride of ownership in the neighborhood. After our peaceful brisk walk we then returned to enjoy their complementary grab and go breakfast with a great selection of coffee & tea, yogurt, cereal, fruit, toast, granola bars etc. The neighborhood is gorgeous and so pieceful and quiet. I highly recommend this property for a couple or small family looking for a Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove Get-Away. We look forward to returning.

Very lovely place to stay

The photo listing online shows a property on the water which was a bit misleading. This property is within walking distance but not as the online photo listing shows. The overall all property appears to need TLC and is a bit busy for my taste. The room was simply updated and basic. The room was clean.

It was a very adorable and friendly place. You do need a car to get to places… not really walkable. But they have parking and getting around was very easy. Definitely recommend.

Great place great service and great customer service

Very nice big room, with large bathroom. Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and large quiet ceiling fan. Well decorated, in calming colors.

Positives:- King bed was wonderful.- Excellent sauna/spa with jets in large bathtub.- Fireplace was a nice touch.Areas for improvement:- Wi-Fi way too slow, barely usable, needs upgrade.

Room was small but clean, not the room size we reserved or expected.

Last minute stay that was just lovely. Bhavi made sure we had everything we needed, as well as making sure we had access to local dining spots, the best local walks, where to go to catch a beautiful sunset... the room was comfy and the ppm were wonderful. Thank you!

This property was very charming and immaculately clean. All of the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this property. Seconds from the ocean.

The place is a cute motor inn with lovely management. It was an anniversary trip, and they brought us fresh flowers, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, and a bottle of wine. From our balcony, we could hear the ocean and we woke to the pitter patter of seagull feet in the morning. We walked to the beach every night to watch the sunset over Monterrey Bay and to spot otters playing in the surf. There were always deer out right after sunset also. Pacific Gove is a great little town and Monterey and Carmel are so close. It was a great stay with great hospitality.

This was in a great location, a walk to the beach Asilomar. The bed was comfortable, maid service was efficient. The executive room was good, more comfortable dinning chairs, the couch was faced wrong so to not see the tv, except from the bed. Had to replace the Krug coffee maker, but there was all day deluxe coffee available in the office, many delicious teas!! (My preferred) fresh fruit, donuts, English muffins, hot and cold cereal offered for breakfast. Had help with luggage up the stairs when checking in. Complimentary platter for neighbors 4 am disturbance. Stayed a week and it was the best week ever, whale watching, hiking at Big Sur and Pfeiffer state beach, shopping in Carmel and Monterey, Aquarium.

Welcoming. So polite and professional. We have never done something like this. The whole experience was peaceful and stress free.

Short stay. Very current unit, updated. Connected not separated, but quiet. Very close to ocean, golf course and downtown. Fog for my stay held me back, but did get out to watch high waves. Fun! Longer drive off Highway 1 than expected. Staff very efficient, helpful and friendly. Check out this Inn.

Property was clean. Management were all helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. You had a choice of 4 top quality pillows. The bathroom was smallish, but new plumbing fixtures and flooring. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Cute property, about a block away from the ocean. The room was as advertised and clean. The office was very accommodating and pleasant. They offer e-bike rentals and there is an on-site parking lot.

The hosts were very nice and cared about everything. We were expecting more of an individual cottage, but instead it was just a nice motel room with a squeaky bed that could have used a little sofa and a mantel or more places to set things.
