Puget Sound View, Private Queen Bedroom, Private Pool/Jacuzzi

The hosts were accommodating and welcoming, kindly allowing me to check in early and even inviting me to dinner on my first night. Their home was spotless, with a lovely pool and hot tub, a well-equipped exercise area, and a comfortable movie room where I enjoyed watching a football game. It is truly a beautiful spot.For travelers who value privacy and independence, it’s helpful to note that the bathroom is not attached to the bedroom, and the hot tub must be turned on and off by the hosts. The TVs do not have streaming services, though the hosts were kind enough to provide me with an old phone so I could stream Netflix, which allowed me to continue a Friday night tradition of watching a show with my child.The upstairs bedroom where I stayed only had a lock on the inside, not on the outside, which means it cannot be secured when you are away, something that may be a consideration, particularly for women travelers.Overall, the stay was positive, but as someone who travels full time, I am more accustomed to having greater autonomy in the places I stay. This property is ideal for guests who appreciate a more personal, host-involved experience.

Check-in was very easy, and the hosts send an e-mail with check-in instructions and contact information. The house overlooked the Puget Sound with great views.Very comfortable room w/ detached bathroom with a multi-head shower. Steve & Li were great hosts and kept checking to see if we needed anything. It is about 20–30-minute drive to the City of Tacoma. We took a car ferry from Tacoma to Vashon Island and really enjoyed the day. On your drive to Tacoma Mt. Rainer is standing majestically in front of you. The Glass Museum, Zoo & Aquarium, Defiance Park, and various restaurants & shops are located in that same general area.

I live in central CA. Definitely not PNW vibes or energy there anywhere to be found. A solo trip was the perfect solution. And in my situation, it made my stay more meaningful and delightful to be able to say good morning or hello to the hosts. I wasn’t uncomfortable that they were on site at all. I am truly grateful for my time in such a beautiful area with beautiful souls. I will visit again. Thank you.

Owners are super nice! You stay in their home in a bedroom. Bathroom is private and wonderful! Didn't expect to stay in someone's home. Wasn't a discount for no pool or hot tub which was the size of garbage can.

Steve and Li were really lovely and the home was beautiful. Only drawback is that it is quite a bit of a drive from downtown and central Tacoma. Great if you want a quiet place to stay and don't need to be near the action.

My stay in Tacoma was fantastic! The property was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the city and nearby attractions. We had a great stay for 2 nights before departing for Alaskan Cruise. Host was great and accommodations were wonderful! Best shower ever! Very quiet and peaceful. 2nd evening gave us a wonderful sunset view to top off the stay!

I had an amazing stay! The location was absolutely perfect, with spectacular views that took my breath away every day. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. Just a heads-up: the listing can be a bit confusing since there's both an expanded downstairs rental space and an upstairs rental room. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a beautiful spot with great hosts!

My husband and son were staying at this property because my son had a basketball tournament the weekend of the stay. They slept at the house and used the bathroom to shower and stuff. They didn’t receive breakfast (which was listed as an amenity and since I’m the Mom I thought it would be helpful to have because I was not going to be there). The space was in the basement. But like I said the space worked for the purpose of the trip. Comments from my husband and son were “it wasn’t a place to go and have somewhere to hang out, it’s a good place for having somewhere to sleep”.

Steve and Li were very welcoming and warm! The location is amazing with beautiful views, and their home is awesome as well. We wish we could have enjoyed it further, highly recommend!
