Upon entering the home, guests will notice the gorgeous oak trim, hardwood floors, colorful stained glass transoms, original kitchen cabinets with marble countertops, and the beautiful antique stove/oven. There is a dining area where homemade breakfast is served each morning, a sitting room where guests can play a game of chess, and lovely outdoor spaces with patios, decks, and a beautiful botanical backyard garden where guests can spend time relaxing, unwinding, or enjoying a take home meal from a local restaurant.

Looks like a poor part of town, did not feel safe. House was old, cracked walls, peeling paint, could hear any noise in the rest of the house. No lights on front porch (difficult getting in), no light in upstairs hallway. Had to use cell phone light to get into house & bedroom.

Liked everything. Loved the history off the house, the styling and woodwork. Quiet, clean. Angel, the lady that made breakfast was great, super friendly and made great food. Liked the small town setting.

In general, the stay was good. The breakfast could have been better; more variety and fresher. The house needs some attending too, some paint peeling, windows need sealing or repair. The check in process was okay, but the directions needed a map, and a sign on the front lawn would be helpful.

Lovely place, and I appreciated the hot breakfast on the weekend. The only item I might suggest is to have a mini fridge in each room so that guests can put leftovers in... I highly recommend it!

Everything went smooth. Did not have breakfast as we had to leave by 9am and were unsure of the timing because our breakfast slip was still on the counter from the day before. The place was very clean and it was easy to find our room.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful. Not a lot of activities in Nelsonville, but close to everything we wanted to do. Innkeeper is cheerful and a good cook.

The check in processes, although off property, was smooth and very close. The house was really nice, clean, and quiet. There were other guests and we couldn’t hear anything when we were in our room. The window AC kept us nice and cool while it was very hot outside. The hot breakfast on Sunday was very tasty and Angel (who cooks and cleaned there) was so sweet and welcoming. We ate breakfast in the dining room at one large table with another couple. A much more intimate experience than you’ll get at any hotel. We were also only 20min from Athens, and about 15min from hocking hills/Logan. Had a great stay!
