Cute place, our room was pretty small, bathroom really small. TV on top of the dresser, you couldn’t really watch from the bed without ending up with a sore neck. Otherwise pretty clean. Reasonable breakfast. Area around the house was questionable. Everything looked super old. Limited availability for restaurants.

We enjoyed the breakfast conversation with other guests. People seem to come to bed and breakfasts with the intent of meeting and talking to strangers. So refreshing and interesting!

No check in onsite. We had to go a mile away to check in, in an outdoor adventure sports store. We arrived late night to the B&B after activities. All three external doors were locked and could not get in. The keys would not work even with multiple tries. Tried calling the number provided at check in multiple times and no one answered. Luckily on the last try, one door worked and we were able to get in. There was another couple who came at the same time and their keys did not work as well. Beds were clean. Shower is not maintained, caulking has turned black. Ok breakfast Sun morning.

Staff was great, however never could use the hot tub since management could never get temp above 80 degree where sign said that temp needs to 96 degrees per management. Disappointed since this was a key feature for staying there especially after a long day of hiking. I doubled checked but the way we booked this roo. NOWHERE did it state to goto the local party store to get the key to check in. Luckily another couple who had the same issue told us where to go to get the key. Alittle frustrating after a 5 hour drive and being ready to relax for the night.

Convenient location. Clean with a delicious breakfast. I loved the historic charm of the place. My only complaints are that the room was hot and the sheets were scratchy.

My group and I had a wonderful stay here! The hot tub was so nice for after a day of hiking, and it was so easy to get to all the amazing parks nearby!

We had a very nice overall one-night stay here. The room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed getting to know the cook /housekeeper at breakfast since all other seating was full with other guests. The person who checked us in at the store close by was helpful and pleasant. The hot tub was not working, like several other reviewers stated, and that was disappointing. I called the manager about it, as she offered for us to do if we had any trouble during our stay. Instead of returning my call to let me know we could use another property's hot tub, she messaged me through the VRBO app. I have those notifications on a scheduled summary once a day because it is usually non-urgent so I did not receive the message until we were leaving the next morning. Overall good, but don't book this room for the hot tub. It needs to be replaced or removed from the listing features.

I believe this little gem can become a diamond. Certain things you expect from a home built in the 1800's. The exterior needs sprucing, but the original beauty of the interior is there under several coats of paint. The home is clean and the breakfast was amazing. Rooms are small and quaint with many old rugs making it cozy. We chose the Mexican restaurant for dinner and it did not disappoint. I would stay there again.

Check in was stressful and confusing. There were over 6 emails sent to me regarding my stay with information scattered all over the place. We had to drive to a different location that was an outdoor sports shop for our “check in.” The property was very beautiful, I appreciated the overall cleanliness, however, the shower curtain in the Rose room was over a foot high above the bottom of the shower, so water went everywhere. Additionally, there was black mold in the calk of the shower and water damage on the ceiling. Additionally, we could not figure out how to turn on the hot tub. So that was falsely advertised.

My first experience with a B&B. I will stay here again and again. Lovely Historical home. Well cared for. I felt safe and enjoyed walking everywhere. Mandy was rhe best host, so loving, kind, a great cook. So personable. I could go on and on.

The house was nice. I just wished that all of the beds were not firm. I chose a room with two beds, and both had very firm mattresses. Not everyone likes a firm mattress. I feel like if there were 2 beds, one should at least be a little less firm. I also think that the rugs in the bedroom need to be washed and cleaned well. It would also be nice to have a box of Kleenex in the room.

My daughter, and sister stayed at the Hyde House for one night before heading to Hocking Hills to hike. The Bed and Breakfast was clean, and quiet. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay for breakfast, as we got an early start to Hocking Hills the next morning. The breakfast smelled delicious, and the staff was courteous.
