Dirty, dingy, worn, cheap linens/bedding/bath products. Some beautiful architecture but strange decor choices. The lack of cleanliness was most disturbing: copious amount of dust, grimy doors and floors, curtains in the shower window that naturally became wet and smelly. Found a dust covered piece of clothing under our bed. Both windows sealed shut-does this meet fire codes?
We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were fantastic, the historic home was beautiful and the pastries were delicious!
Outstanding hosts. Outstanding hospitality. Outstanding in every way.
Beautiful house, lots of history. Timothy and Jonathan were wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.
My partner and I stayed here for a weekend in Gettysburg. The home and hosts are great to talk to and the home itself is stunning. Historic charm with a little bit of a modern touch. One warning I have for potential guests is beware there is one full bathroom and shower for all guest rooms, its a bit dated but does the job. I would definitely stay here again.
Really enjoyed chatting with the owners about the history of this property. The inside is gorgeous but the rest of the house is a work in progress. Nice rooms and I like my own private coffee pot but was disappointed by breakfast as only muffins and cereal. The bathroom is shared and down the hall. Luckily the other rooms were occupied by traveling nurses so I had bathroom to myself. The bathroom needs renovation. Overall good experience.
Very much enjoyed our stay the mansion was unique and interesting . The hosts were top notch and great to deal with. We will stay here again when we visit the area...
Top of the line accommodations aren't always available when you're traveling with your dogs, but this historic home is a winner!
This vacation was made lovely by our stay at a beautiful, Victorian, bead and breakfast with lovely hosts. The two of us and our dog were welcomed like family. We were fed delicious home-baked goods and stayed in a luxurious room with linens and towels included. The house was impressively decorated for Christmas. The hosts were warmly friendly and easy to talk with. We came away feeling that we had made new friends. We will definitely be returning.
Beautiful period home, freshly baked muffins, accommodating hosts, peaceful patio fountain, and a feeling of home away from home
