Double Superior Room Ensuite@Norton House Hotel

Best to explain that the shower was appalling- virtually no pressure and we had paid an upgrade for a superior room. Breakfast was cold and waited forever for uncooked poached eggs. Our plates cleared with no comments. No follow up following our feedback at reception. Why ask about our stay?!

Our room 19 had been nicely renovated but the TV was a bit dodgy! The steps in and out of the room and the holders for plants are in need of repainting. This spoils the ambiance of the courtyard. The food was very nice and well cooked. The staff attentive.

Evening meal was exceptional

Really enjoyed our stay really well situated,close to Mumbles. Excellent facilities, stayed overnight had a Sunday lunch and breakfast Absolutely delicious food, excellent friendly staff,we stay here every year.

Nice large room. Well serviced. TV took a bit of sorting out. Had a great Sunday lunch. Breakfast was always short of bacon and sausages. Had to wait for them. All food and drink prices were reasonable.

Location is perfect for Mumbles and Swansea, Hotel is clean and comfortable, the breakfast is good quality and plenty of choice. We have recommended to our family and friends and staying again next week.

friendly staff, good location, nice meal in restaurant. however, shower was dangerous due to screw sticking out from plug, very uncomfortable bed, small for two people, sewage smell in bathroom. expected something better, considering room was in main house. have stayed here on multiple occasions but not sure we will return.

Very nice quiet room

Cosy, comfortable hotel. Good location. Our breakfasts and one dinner where top class (given the price we paid). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The service at breakfast was particularly attentive to needs. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel. Thank you to all.

Everything was perfect for us

I liked the room, it was clean, the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and I had the vegan breakfast which was delicious. Staff were helpful (breakfast staff in particular). Car parking and location perfect. I had forgotten a charger plug (I had the cables). USB ports useful? I would say that it was at times noisy at night, I could hear staff talking late at night in the dining room below my room. Staff need to be mindful of that. I would stay again but avoid an event / function.

The room in the hotel was lovely, the staff (especially Abi) were exemplary and the breakfasts and dinner super - thank you, next time we are in Swansea we will be in Norton House.

Window in room needs replacing. Gaps between glass and rotting frame. Bolts holding window up when open. Two used cigarette roll ups on window ledge. Glass covering tv cabinet sticky on arrival. Headboard on bed very dusty.small glasses we had used not changed.no hand towels on 2nd day Maybe other rooms were better

Staff where very friendly and helpful

Back again to celibrate a 78th birthday as it suits all our needs, caters well for a coeliac’s diet & is ideal for the Gower. All the staff make for a welcoming & pleasant stay. The restaurant menu is of a high standard & quality. I have the confidence to use it as I am coeliac & need to be assured that my strict gluten-free diet is safely accommodated. Special thanks to the restaurant team & chef for attentive service, Tracey and Arun are names we recall. We’ve just booked our next visit.

Lovely location only 10 mins walk into Mumbles along the seafront. Very spacious room. The main hotel is very elegant with a really lovely feel - evening meal in the dining room had very special touches which made the experience. The food both at night and the breakfasts were excellent and finally a shout out to all the staff who are so friendly and helpful and very attentive - they care about providing an excellent service for guests and it really shows - 10/10 for the staff in particular

The hotel is ideally located, just a short walk to the recently finished Promenade. Restaurants are a short walk away. The hotel also offers a good menu. The rooms are spacious and well appointed.

We really appreciated the staff, who were so helpful, and the meals were delicious.

See above. Would have been helpful if we had been advised that a wedding reception meant that no food or drink was available first night. The alarms going off both days was disturbing, had to visit reception first night to discover it was a false alarm

The highlight of our stay was the Celebration Dinner on Friday evening.An excellent and varied menu,beautifully cooked. Efficient and friendly service. The best meal I'd ever had eating out was one comment made by one guest.

The continental breakfast, cereals, fruit., pastries, drinks etc.were very well laid out, plenty of choice and a well cooked breakfast.

Another stay that didn’t disappoint. The hotel itself is in great condition, the breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly. The location is great and a short walk from the sea and Mumbles/Oystermouth. We will be back, highly recommended.

Having two rooms (bedroom and lounge area) was great and where it was situated was quiet, with no one passing to and fro. Everything clean and comfortable. Only downside was that the basin in the bathroom was much too high up & cabinet door under it needs mending!

From the time we arrived, the staff were polite, accommodating as nothing was too much trouble. I haven't received customer service like this in a very long time.
