Enjoyed the atmosphere and the Breakfast. Front porch floor was covered with leaves and trash. Bath soap was useless. I have never seen soap this tiny in 60 years of travel all over the world

The keys had just been changed and didn't work for the room. I had to drive back to the check in location and was told that it was my error and I should meet with the cleaning lady. The cleaning lady watched me try and saw the keys did not work properly so she lent me hers. A bat was in our room and was flying around during our attempt at sleep. We had to catch it ourselves because no one was on the premises to assist. This caused a lack of sleep for about 2-3 hours. Food was mediocre.

The 2nd party 1st choice lodging have hidden charges that are still not explained. Then, when we get there, the amenities, specifically the jacuzzi, which was the main reason we chose that place, was not kept, meaning no one had bothered to fill with water, and when a maintenance came on the last full day, around 3-4pm, he said it would not be ready until the following day due to filling, warming & shocking, where we had to check out at 10am. Awful and frustrating experience with no direct host or any real human care or service.

My husband & i loved the quiet, homey feeling of this place! It was really cool to see the old woodwork & beautiful restoration of this piece of history.

The town is charming and so is the historic house. I’d love to give this place a higher rating than a 2, but the reason to book accommodations is to have a place to sleep. The bed was so hard we had a difficult time sleeping - and my husband can usually sleep through anything!

The room was pretty but the mattress was cheap and old - with springs that stuck into my hip. There were only cheap bars of soap and no shampoo for the shower. The breakfast was disappointing, with the hashbrowns undercooked and strange tasting sausage. The person who makes the breakfast is obviously only there for a paycheck. She does not make you feel welcome or even speak to the guests. Checking in down the street was fine, but it made the whole experience feel much less personable. This hardly qualifies as a bed and breakfast stay. The town thankfully had a community pool we enjoyed on a hot saturday but the town does not have very much to offer.
