The place is cozy and located a few mins walk to a couple cafes and a bus stop, making getting around pretty easy. The photos might be a bit confusing: there is one bedroom & one bathroom, which have both been updated; they're both very nice and accurate to the newer pictures. There's also the sofa bed that makes for a very comfy lounging couch and second bed.The hosts of this place really shine. Laila was super accommodating with check-in and check-out times and always available quickly through communication. Getting in was super easy with a code lock box to obtain the keys, just watch your head going down the stairs if you're tall

Overall, our trip was pretty good. There were just a couple things that were a bit weird or off putting. The living room section and in the bedroom, there was tape over the vents which we found a little weird, not to mention that the tape on the one in the living room was actively falling off when we came in. Also, the chandelier thing in the living room was constantly hitting everybody in the head when they stood up. The biggest problem overall though was that there were ants in the bedroom on the floor. Not the biggest deal they were black so you know not gonna harm you that much but that was an unpredicted thing we had to deal with. Now for the good things. There were so many towels, and blankets, which was awesome because there were three of us. The communication with the owner was always very fast and reliable. The checking in and checking out process is one of the easiest I’ve ever had. And overall, it was a pretty clean and comfy space to be in for the week. Parking also wasn’t too bad. We never had a park too far from the Vrbo. For the price and location if you’re visiting DC it is a good option.

We enjoyed our stay. The unit was nice and clean and conveniently close to transportation. The bed was really comfortable and the in unit washer and dryer really helped out when we needed them. I would recommend this location when you visit DC. Laila was easy to communicate with for any questions.

I just got home from my stay here and the space was lovely. It was clean and spacious and had everything I could need. It was a good location that made it easy to get where I wanted to go.

First of all, the proprietor was very kind and responsive. However, the unit was below street level. The stairs down were difficult. Finagling with the lockbox and lock was difficult. By the time I got into the property, my back was « out ». I spent almost the entire DC vacation in bed in severe pain. Spent the second full afternoon in the ER trying to get some medication for relief.Needless to say, my trip to DC was a disaster.

Not the fanciest place but it was fine and comfortable. It is on a very major road so not the quietest, but close to everything. Parking can be a challenge but we were able to find parking close to the VRBO every time. Can't really beat it for the price and location.

The location gave you a real city life experience. Location was near Metro and bus lines that took us everywhere! The only time we took a taxi was when we first arrived at Union Station and then one night when we were too tired to Metro! As anywhere else there is market delivery. Our first night ordered staples like milk, OJ and other food items from Giant Market 1400 7th St. Ordered by 8pm and got it delivered at 6am! There is also a Trader Joe’s 1914 14th St NW that is just a short bus ride away. Three neighborhood stores also if you don’t require much. Owner was great, very responsive. Had trouble with heat the first night and she came down the next day to show us where the heaters were. The place has a washer and dryer and had more bath and kitchen items than most hotels! One more thing about the locale. We are Seniors and felt safe walking 10min to the Shaw Howard Station at night, even after watching Dodger Shohei hit one out of the park!

Overall the place looked shabby. The walls had different paints. The bedroom looked patched together. I had to make it work but the place needs a better presentation. Also, there is limited parking on the street. The unit is located on a major street so you hear people, ambulances, and noise all night.

Some half eaten food was left in the fridge/freezer/cabinets. Was described with an additional pull out and 2nd bathroom which it did not have.

I enjoyed the stay and felt like it was a proper cozy stay. The bedroom mattress is comfortable, the pull-out bed from couch was OK. We used plenty of items from the kitchen to cook and made ourselves home-cooked meals and coffee using their drip machine (filters included). Nice full-sized fridge and easy access to the dryer was nice since we did end up with some wet clothing for part of the trip.
