Stayed Jan 8, 2026The apartment looks just like the photos. Although not new, it has clearly been maintained well. Everything worked as it should. I would give this 10 stars for cleanliness! And having a king sized bed was a huge plus. The place was roomy and not cramped. As in the photo, there is a funky step up into the bathroom, but, it is what it is. The location of the unit was really nice. Close to everything you need but not IN it. It was quiet and also easy to park and unload the car. Just a short walk to the beach. The owner was easy to reach and attentive. We felt very comfortable. We hope to come back.

Stayed Apr 14, 2024Mermaid beach House is in a great location. Island living! Short walk to the beach for the sunrise and close to the river for sunsets! Bed is very comfortable. Has a very strong musty smell. Could use a deep clean & dehumidifier. And should have larger air conditioners especially in the bedroom area.

Stayed Dec 29, 2023Less than a mile from free beach-access parking lot; near an asphalt trail that's great for running/biking; very comfortable seating area and king bed (we slept very well!); includes everything you need plus nice extras, such as beach chairs and plenty of beach towels; lovely escape from the family during the holidays; would definitely stay again!

Stayed Jun 29, 2023What an amazing stay at Mermaid Beach House. Super clean and great location. We had a problem with the range which is out of control of anyone and Tim replaced it the next day. Now that's what you call fantastic customer service. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend you stay here!

Stayed Mar 21, 2023Easy to access. Immaculately clean. Friendly host and manager. Everything you need inside (including sharp knives for food prep), great location right across from the beach. What more could you ask for?
