Middletown, Maryland
Warm and charming lower level studio of an historic 1840's home. While extensively renovated, we preserved the original stone fireplace (with new electric insert) and staircase to showcase old-world craftsmanship. With a plush pillow-top full-size mattress, and comfortable sofa bed, the Den sleeps up to 4 people. The full bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower combo, and the kitchenette is stocked with utensils, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and refrigerator.
Pets under about 50 lbs are welcomed at an additional fee of $40 per pet, per stay, but must be crated when unattended. I can make exceptions to the fee structure for small dogs or multiple pets.
In support of the global effort to conserve energy resources utilizing reasonable practices, we have installed Ecobee “smart” thermostats in all of our listings that the guests can also control. The thermostats are preset with a maximum heating setting of 72 degrees and a minimum cooling setting of 72 degrees.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin in rural Maryland. The property is tucked away in farmland surrounded by trees. The unit had everything we needed inside. The only complaint I have, which was mentioned to us beforehand, was that we could hear the the people above us walking around and talking very clearly. It didn’t really bother us much and the people staying there were generally pretty quiet. For the price, I would definitely stay here again.
The property was beautiful but the room was musty and dirty. The bathroom only had one days worth of towels that didn't dry after the morning shower because of the humidity in the room. Also there was no bath mat. We were asked no to wear shoes but the floors weren't clean and the baseboards were filthy. The room smelled like damp dog and there was dog hair all over the couch. If you have asthma or allergies it wouldn't be for you. I ended up sleeping in my car the second night because I couldn't breath and we left a day early.
