Stayed Mar 30, 2025We stayed in this room last year and would do it again simply for the convenience and has the essentials. My 2 complaints were, they only give one extra garbage bag for a 4 night stay which is ridiculous. I don't think having one garbage bag per day will break the bank and I shouldn't have to ask another tenant for one of theirs (I am not about to contact management to have one sent over). The bigger complaint, however, is when I paid the ad said indoor parking. I got there and the garage was under repair. When I contacted management, they basically said so sad too bad, park outside as if they couldn't care less. Maybe they should have dug my car out of the 8 inches of snow when we left then because that sucked. I get things happen, but that wasn't my fault so there should have been some type of recourse instead of the careless attitude. I marked a 3 on cleanliness which might be misleading. It was as clean as it could be figuring people walk all over the carpet with wet ski boots. It was NOT dirty or disgusting by any means. Maybe some updating of lighting would be nice (i.e. brighter lights especially in bathroom area). There were no dealbreakers here, we would take this room again in a heartbeat, just some minor annoyances with management more than anything. For the record though, management is extremely responsive, both this year and last year, very quick to respond.

Stayed Mar 12, 2025We stayed in this studio for our annual end of winter trip to Winter Park. The location is perfect for skiers and snowboarders: it's just steps away from a trail to gondola. The complex's hot tub and game room were nice after a day on the slopes. Great value.

Stayed Apr 7, 2024Upsides: - Unit is in the building directly next to the slopes, and is on the correct floor to access the trail to the base area without catching the elevator. - Kitchen was well-equipped. Downsides: - While there are shades on the two windows, the enormous sliding glass door to the balcony has no such covering. Don't plan on sleeping in. - The unit's toilet is very old and might be the most anemic appliance I've ever encountered. It struggled to get rid of even a few sheets of single ply, and so I ended up using the one in the gym locker room in the adjacent building for most of my stay. - I hope you like punching in the nuclear launch codes every time you want to go anywhere. Even getting into the aforementioned locker room required a 13-digit input. Your Mileage May Vary: - The pillows on the murphy bed are incredibly thin and I ended up having to stack several to get the proper neck support. - While the kitchen is well-equipped, the array of utensils is all over the place. There were somewhere in the neighborhood of 14 knives to go with just 6 forks, 10 plates to go with just 2 bowls, and two tiny coffee cups. - If you plan on cooking be prepared to work around dull knives and warped pans. It's unfortunately clear that past guests have run everything through the dishwasher, including the utensils, such as chef's knives, that should have been washed by hand. - The bathroom is weirdly dark. I left the door open while showering so I could see what I was doing.

Stayed Mar 7, 2024We had a good stay but there were a few things that could have been better. Pros - great location for ski in / ski out BUT our key code did not work to get back in the door so it was more of a “ski out” walk around to get back in or wait for someone to come outside to let us in. We talked to property manager and they said it was a building issue. The building had a sign saying to talk to property manager and we went in circles and was never resolved. It was supposedly the same code for other doors and those worked fine. Frustrating to pay for that convenience and wasn’t actually available. The room was small and ok for two people. But we could barely find space to put our suitcases and not much storage space to have the option to unpack. It did the trick but in my opinion small improvements could go a long way. They didn’t leave dish wash detergent and told us extra supplies were not included but wasn’t indicated that we should bring that for the dishwasher. Bring your own pillow they are very flat and not many so can’t imagine having 4 people here! It was good but I would go to another unit if I stay at this place again.

Stayed Mar 3, 2024We've stayed in many Iron Horse units over the years. This one has a great location, right off the ski corridor. The unit itself is basic and not fancy or updated. It has what is needed for two people, not much more in terms of bedding, towels, kitchenware.

Stayed Jan 1, 2024This was just what I expected… worked great for my son and me for a few days of skiing. I would definitely return. Constructive feedback would be to stock the kitchen with better cookware. Thanks for a great getaway!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969It was great! Unit is exactly as described. Iron Horse resort has a great hot tub/pool area. You can walk right up to the trail and ski down to the base area. It is a close walk to restaurants at the base area. Perfect for a couple looking for an easy getaway weekend!
