Very good host, conscientious and attentive to our needs. She gave us a very good welcome and resolved any concerns we might have very promptly and to our satisfaction. This is a beautifully situated, comfortable and well-equipped apartment, right down to the last detail. It worked well for us because we wanted a place with a great view and was peaceful and quiet. It is not far to walk, along the beach walk for preference, to restaurants, cafés and shops (I'd recommend the covered market). To cap it all, if you want a quick dip in the sea, it's on your doorstep, almost literally!

We have just returned from a week’s stay in Mme Barbeau’s lovely apartment in Arcachon. The apartment itself was superb, with a really perfect location overlooking the bay. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Many good restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance as is the railway station, shops and supermarket. Mme Barbeau met us on our first day and was very helpful. Arcachon itself is a lovely base for this part of France. We took the train to Bordeaux (quick and easy), a trip to St-Emilion followed by a visit to the Chateau Amiche vineyard (run by an English lady called Lindsey and well worth a visit), and visited the largest sand dune in Europe. I would definitely recommend a visit to Arcachon, and would definitely recommend staying at Mme Barbeau’s apartment. You won’t be disappointed.

We were warmly welcomed by Madame Barbeau and her daughter in law. The apartment has everything you need for a lovely holiday. Excellent location with view of the bassin, a very well equipped kitchen and lovely decor throughout. Would love to visit again some time in the future.

A wonderful, spotlessly clean, well equipped second floor apartment overlooking the beach of Arcachon bay. Everything is there for a wonderful stay, Mme Barbeau explains how all fittings and equipment work. The kitchen is very newly fitted and is complete with induction hob, oven and a fridge freezer plus kettle and two types of coffee machine. The bathroom is complete with an over-bath shower. A bath mat to stop slipping in the shower would be a good addition to the property. There is secure parking and a private gate opens onto miles of wonderful golden sand. The views from the second floor apartment are amazing and there is a fabulous Boulangerie nearby for early morning croissants, baguettes and great tarts and cakes. You will never weary of the view towards the bay ... but in case there is satellite TV, DVD player. The location of Les Pecheries is fantastic and is only a short walk into town which has all the restaurants and shops you could wish for, the railway station is only 10 minutes walk from the apartment. We have given the property five stars out of five ... we wish we could give an extra five stars. We will definitely be back to Madame Barbeau's apartment! Chris and Eve, Hampshire, UK

Tout était parfait, très agréable séjour à Arcachon cela en partie grâce à notre location. Un appartement fonctionnel, décoré avec goût, bien équipé, très ensoleillé et disposant d’une vue magnifique sur l’ensemble du bassin. Situation exceptionnelle directement sur la plage et tout proche du centre ville, cela permet d’oublier la voiture au parking sécurisé de la résidence, dans un quartier calme. Pour aller à la plage l’ascenseur suffit. Idéal pour promenade à pied, à vélo ou bateau : Un délice. Et pour ne rien oublier les propriétaires sont charmants et soucieux de notre confort. Nous vous recommandons cet appartement pour vos prochaines vacances à Arcachon.
