We loved staying here! It was super spacious, and had everything you could possibly need! Short walking distance to wrigley field and a lot of places to eat around.

Parking with the passes was simple and directly outside. The house was spacious and clean. It was in a great area with easy access to subway and great restaurants. Plus, we were able to bring our dog! We all loved it and will likely be back.

Do not stay here.This is the worst rental we have ever stayed in. While I understand that it is an older home, describing it as having character is misleading-dilapidated would be more accurate. There were several maintenance and cleanliness concerns, including a cracked toilet tank and tub, peeling ceiling paint with dead bugs stuck on it, stained bathroom tiles, signs of water-damaged wood, stained worn towels, and exposed plumbing in a makeshift closet with deteriorating plaster. We also noted that a smoke detector did not appear to be functioning during our stay, which was concerning.Access to the building was also challenging, involving a set of winding wooden stairs that may be difficult for some guests to navigate, especially with luggage.The layout was also problematic. One bedroom has the bed positioned against the wall on one side, requiring one person to climb over it. There is also a very steep stairway leading to a basement room, which may not be suitable for all guests. The pillows were thin and offered little support, one wall had a hole, and furniture showed noticeable wear and staining.Parking was another point of disappointment as we later learned that city-issued permits cost 1.00 per day, yet the host charges guests 20.00 per day.We chose not to contact the host during our stay, as the concerns we encountered appeared to be structural or maintenance-related rather than quick fixes. Future guests may want to confirm current conditions before booking

The overall condition of this place was the worst I’ve seen in any of my VRBO stays. See photos. Many lights did not work. Ceilings are cracked and flacking down. The frig did not cool despite being set at the highest level. We kept our perishables in our cooler instead of the frig. Living room sofa is soiled & worn with failing springs. Bathroom vanity has a hole in the side & exposed bare wood. Smoke alarm in the dining room does not work. Smoke alarm in the kitchen was on the counter and the battery labeled 2019. The place offers no off-street parking & daily parking permits are 20 each.

It was a beautiful flat in a lovely neighborhood. And very peaceful, even on game nights!

We were not at the property much over our day and a half stay so didn’t utilize many of the amenities, but it was a clean and convenient location in Wrigleyville

Great location. 6 min to red line or Wrigley Field. Fit our family of five perfectly. Clean and stocked with everything we needed.

Condo was simple but had a lot of space and all necessities. Great location near Wrigley for us. We didn’t encounter any issues and were able to use access sent by host ahead of time with ease. Priced perfectly for our family of five. Thank you for the stay!

Great location and options we needed

The home was dated but clean and comfortable. Beds were good (although depiction of bunk bed on pictures was not accurate - that is where the master bedroom is located). The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking/serving breakfast in the morning and included a few provided items like coffee and sugar. Grocery store was close by. We used the laundry (5 to do one washer and dryer load) and it was fine. Communication with the host was great.

Our stay was wonderful

Good location and comfortable. We were traveling with elderly parents who had trouble navigating all the stairs. It would have been nice to know about these beforehand. Everything else was satisfactory.

Great location that's close to food and entertainment. Quiet street. House had room for our whole group that went to a football game at Wrigley. No issues with the process and the owner was helpful and answered all my questions. Would stay again!!!

Everything was adequate. Beds were comfortable, Kitchen and baths were clean. Plenty of hot water.Location was important to us.

We thought street parking was challenging but ok. Clean place. We did have a few centipedes we had to kill. We were very happy with the location.

Incredible experience, was in town for the Chicago Marathon and this was a great place in an even better location. Justin was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Would recommend to anyone.

The location couldn't be better. Easy access to trains and busses. The layout of the unit is really nice with the extra room downstairs. The kitchen has everything you would need for your stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay and close to Wrigley!

This brownstone is in need of major updates. The pictures to advertise don't give a realistic view of what the property actually looks like. The furniture is so old and run down, it's frame is broken and doesn't recline. The paint is chipping, the tubs are cracked and permanently gray. The beds are ok, linens are basic. The onsite shared laundry closet is sketchy. Would not stay here again, it's not homey.

This was the perfect location for our trip and it was quiet.

Parking is a nightmare. Host provided passes at an extra 20/day, but finding a place to use thoses passes proved almost impossible. It was close to Wrigley Field, but not much else. The place was clean and provided all needed amenities. Could use some lighting on outside steps.

Great place! One of the bedrooms got a bit warm during our July visit, but was otherwise very comfortable.

This property location is perfect. Exactly as advertised. It is on a quiet street right around the corner from Wrigley Field. It was perfect for my husband and I and our two kids with my parents. We would for sure stay here again!!

Overall, we were very pleased with our short stay! The location was absolutely perfect for a concert at Wrigley field. There is plenty of shopping and food nearby, and everything is walkable. We did add parking and lucked out by scoring a spot right out front. The unit is very spacious with a great layout for a larger group than we had. If you read other reviews, many things are true. There is room for updating and the entrance is not accessible, but neither of those were an issue for us. For the price, it was a great value and served us well. I have no doubt the owner could have charged a far higher premium rate for this particular event, and I was grateful my reservation wasn't cancelled (which I have had happen in the past other places). I do agree that additional towels would be good given the size of the unit, so if you have over three people, you might need to pack some. Communication was excellent, and we found everything to be well-stocked. I would certainly stay here again.

Great location. Did not have all cook ware. Very dirty house with stains on furniture and place has never been dusted. We have family with severe asthma and this was an issue.

The beds are very comfortable, located in a quiet and cozy neighborhood, and within walking distance to Wrigley Field and Public transportation. While the home was nice and we felt comfortable and safe, there were still things that could have been much better. Like others have mentioned the kitchen supplies lack tremendously, we were in need of very common supplies; a spatula, lids to fit the pots and pans, and mixing bowls. (The owner did bring a used pot and lid and said he would bring a spatula the next day. We did not receive the spatula.) The supplies that are available are very used and should be tossed out. There’s only one television in the home and it isn’t very big. There was not enough seating in the living room for our family of 6 to enjoy a movie together and the couch arm is broken (this was brought to the owners attention). Although there was some great information provided during the online booking process, I still feel that there should have been a welcome guide upon arrival. We weren’t aware how to work the downstairs heat, the stove burns need to be looked at, dishwasher soap door is broken and being shut with duct tape, the downstairs toilet flusher needs replaced, and the bbq grill available was propane but turned into a charcoal grill. Great place to stay for Winter Classic. Short walk to Wrigley Field. Quiet and safe neighborhood.

The property was in a great location; however, we experienced a concerning safety issue that was not remedied in a timely manner, forcing us to vacate. Two nights into the stay, we were awakened early morning by a fire/CO2 detector. We researched model number trying to troubleshoot thinking it was a low battery, but the beeps were both sporadic and rapid leading us to believe there was a CO2 hazard. A couple of guys in our group mentioned experiencing dull headaches and there was a noticeable, pungent gaseous smell that got stronger certain times of day which everyone noticed at check-in. I messaged the property owner immediately after trying to troubleshoot alarm; it was 6-7 hours before I received a response. By that point, we had already vacated the property for the remainder of the stay due to frightening safety issues and booked a different property last minute at a much higher rate rather than remain displaced. After the property owner replied, I advised we had vacated the property due to safety concerns/delayed response. I asked for consideration of a partial refund due to issue and followed up again 2 days later with no response. Approximately 10 days later, I received a response likely due to me disputing with credit card company. The property owner offered 250 refund which I stated was not acceptable. In addition, furniture was broke down, stair carpet/windows dirty, water damaged flooring/bathroom cabinets, and food order 3-4 weeks old at front door.

The location was great and we appreciated the charm of this historic home, but several things fell short of expectations. The king bedroom and bathroom are in the basement, which wasn’t clear in the listing, and the stairs were dark and scary at night when we arrived. The downstairs bathroom had a strong mildew smell. The kitchen, although it had new countertops, cabinets were in disrepair and understocked. The bed linens were low quality (microfiber), towels were cheap and understocked. The home needed a deep clean—especially rugs, furniture, and corners. With fresh paint, better cleaning, and upgraded basics, this property could be a real gem. As it is, it didn’t match the price point.

While the location was amazing and there were no broad issues with the reservation, the property is old and somewhat unpleasant. One of the rooms (basement) is very difficult to stay in because of a smell of sewage or mildew. Another room had a hole in the wall on the side of the bed, which made the rental look cheap and not as nice to our other guests. But the place lacked basic things a VRBO should have, like enough towels or furniture that wasn’t rickety. All the kitchen ware was beaten to no end- one of the pans didn’t even have a handle. Plus large ants were crawling all over the kitchen. This place needs work and it should not be rented out without basic updates to the property and the basic things a VRBO should have. Disappointed at the lack of quality for such an expensive nightly stay. My family stayed for a graduation so we didn’t have the choice to switch to another nor would it have been convenient.

Property is in need of repairs. The front door steps are in bad shape. The furniture on the inside is worn out. The inside is visibly worn from the years of rental. The pictures don’t give an accurate description of the true state of the property. The street side parking is horrible because there’s no consideration given by anyone on how close to park to the car behind or in front of you. This was an issue for me. There’s no regular/cable tv not that the end of the world but it would’ve been nice to catch up on current news. Beds were comfortable. If you’re looking to be close to Wrigley Field based on location this property is it. The owner does communicate.

The location is perfect. The beds were comfortable, and townhouse was clean.There are some pretty shabby furnishings, however, and some battery operated lights that don’t work. Also, did the owner really have to go with single ply, prisoner-of-war style toilet paper? Is a softer two-ply that much more expensive?

The property was lovely. Manager was very quick to respond. Love the place would stay again.

The home made our stay in Chicago very easy. There is a lot to do nearby and easy to walk everywhere. The place is very nice and amenable.

I could go on and on about the poor quality of this property; how is looks sunnier in the photos than it does in real life; or how it's the only EYE SORE on the street with so much DEFERRED MAINTENANCE; or about the scary alley on the side of the house which he calls a GANGWAY that you use to reach the backdoor entrance in the rear of the building, (that you access thru narrow homemade tree house style plywood stairs); or about the quantity of doors to the exterior in the apartment, how UNSAFE me and my son would have felt there- so VULNERABLE with that many entrances; or about the scary basement (with exterior doors) with no LOCK ON THE DOOR that is not mentioned in the listing, but I will narrow it down to this: THE APARTMENT WAS FILLED WITH GLADE PLUG-INS and STICK DIFFUSERS IN EVERY ROOM. Like knot in your throat formaldehyde strong odor. And for a mother traveling with a young boy who struggles with allergies, THIS PLACE WAS A HARD NO FOR US. HEALTH FIRST! So after we walked in, I contacted the host to share that unfortunately we would not be able to stay there due to my son's asthma and he rudely told us he was sorry we didn't like the fragrance bu he was not willing to refund us, maybe if we had to go to the ER for his asthma (did he want to collect payment twice? He's an ER doctor) VRBO told me that I had no rights- and that only the host could can. still dealing with VRBO and AMEX to get a refund! A complete nightmare! BEWARE!

Great spot if you're staying Wrigleyville. Walking acess to everything.

Absolutely loved staying here. Was in town for a couple Cubs game and the stadium was just a few short blocks away along with the El station. This made it very easy to get around town. Property was located in a nice clean safe neighborhood. The property itself was clean and well maintained. The host Justin was responsive and easy to deal with when I had questions. I will definitely stay here again.

Great location to walk to Wrigley field, very safe, great restaurant options nearby. Only complaint is the lack of towels and wash clothes, there were 4 adults staying, were only provided 2 washcloths and 3 towels :(

Nice neighborhood, safe and close to Wrigley Field and good food. House was roomy and overall clean. House is older so it could use a little update but great stay especially if coming for a baseball game.

Great location with short walk to Wrigley Field and Lake Michigan. Quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The unit is a bit worn and kitchen could be better stocked. Still, everything was fine for our trip to see a couple Cubs baseball games.
