Convenient location with access to downtown, N St. Mary’s nightlife, and the Pearl but still feels secluded and quiet. Friendly and communicative hosts made this the perfect space for a long weekend getaway. I would definitely stay again!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this home and the hosts! I stayed here for two months and it truly felt like a dream. The house is a beautiful historic home in Tobin Hill—hands down the perfect location. I grew up in San Antonio and was still blown away by how close it is to everything. Just a couple blocks’ walk and you’re at the Pearl or North St. Mary’s Street, surrounded by the best restaurants, shops, and energy of the city.Inside, the home is both spacious and cozy. The oversized master bedroom has a huge, comfortable bed that’s the perfect retreat at the end of the day. The living room with smart TV and the fully stocked kitchen made it easy to feel at home. The natural light throughout is amazing, with the option to keep it shaded whenever you want. The A/C worked perfectly, with separate controls in the bedroom and living room. One of the prettiest features was the large covered porch, an amazing place to spend afternoons and evenings. The neighborhood itself is full of the kindest people. My morning, afternoon, and evening walks were always filled with familiar smiles and friendly faces—it’s a true community that feels like a family. To save the best for last— The best part of all are the hosts. Michelle is warm, kind, and so quick to respond. She truly goes above and beyond for anything you need, and you can feel her thoughtful energy throughout the home. I am extremely grateful for my time here and would return in a heartbeat.

Overall, I really enjoyed staying here; although, I was only in town for one night. The rental cooled great, had a large bed, and provided a good selection of options for streaming. It was a clean neighborhood with lots of options for food within five minutes. My only complaint were the footsteps from the upstairs rental in the middle of the night. Since it is an older home, you can hear everything through the floorboards making it difficult to fall asleep. If you're a light sleeper, make sure to pack some earbuds.Otherwise, we would definitely stay again. We will be recommending to friends and family looking to stay in a quaint historic home with a very accommodating host.

Jennifer and her partner were very helpful, flexible and the place was very cute. However there are tenants above and behind this apt which lead to a lack of privacy at times for those to whom that is important. Otherwise excellent stay!

First and foremost, the bedroom has a desk against the window, the shade looks drawn all the way but is not! I got to see my GF naked just out of the shower when I was taking the trash out! This is the window next to the driveway (eye level) that all the other occupants of the unit use! GF told me if I put nothing else in, to include this. We have stayed at over 100 VRBOs.. This one wasn't the worst, but I would say one of the most misrepresented. The unit seems to be one of 4 in an extremely old home. The pictures are way better than the actual unit. There are extension cords (code violations) running everywhere. The window units do NOT warm the house quickly (like 12 hours to raise 3-4 degrees) the extra heater mentioned in the notes isn't there. The shower is tiny, and warm water takes a while, host left 2 towels for 2 people for a 4 day stay. The 2-block walk to the Pearl is .75 miles. The front door has clear glass over 6', doesn't close securely and has a gap that lets daylight through. There is a security light on the front porch that turns on every time someone drives or walks by, and it lights up the room. The bed is extremely comfortable, but the sheets were worn badly. You can hear the tenants upstairs moving around clearly. I would not recommend this place if you are a light sleeper or easily spooked. I wouldn't stay here again based on the cost either. Have been to San Antonino multiple times, and there are definitely better values out there!

Such a great location. Close to everything we needed. Owners are very detailed and thorough in their communication and so thoughtful of what one might need while renting their property. We enjoyed the beautiful updates to the historic home.

I loved the Tobin Hill District location. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. The location was perfect. It is near the downtown area but far enough to get away from the crowds. Easy stay with all the amenities needed. I wish I could have stayed on all my scheduled days but had to leave due to an emergency. I would definitely recommend this spot for an individual and or couple stay.

We arrived around midnight, but had no problem checking in to the home. Everything was as expected. Jennifer sent coffee and a steamer for clothing, as I had asked for an iron. The home is very quaint with plenty of room for comfort. Hopefully we can revisit San Antonio in the future.

Comfy bed- had great sleep which isn’t always a given when you’re away from home. Window units and fan keep the property at a pleasant temp. Water pressure was good. I utilized the fridge and stove to cook in some - there were plenty of dishes and cookware.

My husband and I enjoyed a three night stay at this location. It was an easy drive (or if you want to brave the heat- walk) to downtown San Antonio. There were plenty of food and brewery options around the location. Jennifer was super quick at responding! I would suggest if you will be spending a lot of time in the home, it was a bit small. But if you were like us and just needed a close place to sleep (it was a comfy bed) it was great! The shower is a bit small but it is an older home, it was manageable. The neighborhood was quiet but the last day of our stay there were others who stayed in the upstairs space, they were not disruptive but we could hear them a bit. We were very thankful for that window unit AC as it kept the room very cool in the Texas heat. Again; if you are spending a lot of time in the home, it may be a bit on the warmer side in the living space- it does have a nice fan to cool it as best it can. Overall, for what we were needing this was a great place to stay.

The home perfectly suited my needs. The mattress is VERY comfortable, and the home is well appointed. The host was wonderful and accommodating. The AC was powerful, but is only present in the bedroom (the living room has a ceiling fan)
