Villa ROSA - Beautiful Mediterranean apartment Agave with sea view and pool

Beautiful place, quite secluded. Excellent base to explore the “other” half of Hvar.

Lovely welcome from Susanne & her husband. This was our first visit to Croatia, we landed at Split then hired a car & caught the car ferry to Hvar. Hvar is a beautiful island with some timeless little towns. We came in June & found it to be so peaceful & quiet. The roads are excellent to drive on, & I think a car is a necessity. The villa is as beautifully clean & in a very quiet location with spectacular views. The only thing we were disappointed with was that not all the apartments are fully equipped with oven, microwave, washing machine, toaster etc, very mis-leading. As we was there for 2 weeks we was hoping to self cater, all we had to cook with was 2 hob rings, no toaster or microwave, there wasn't even a chopping board. We even had to go & purchase an iron. Apart from all this, we would stay again, but possibly in the larger apartment which has these facilities. Thank you Susanne for a lovely stay. Hope you have found homes for those adorable kittens.

We stayed in agava apartment and it was very nice for our family. Nicely decorated, clean and a view to the bay from balcony. There is also a small swimming pool, but the best thing is absolutely a private bay where you can swim and snorkle or read and have a nap. Short driving distances to Stari Grad and Hvar town and smaller villages. Access to the the island was easy by car. We drove to the port of Split 2 hours before ferry left and parked the car there, then went to the nearest restaurant and came back to the car half an hour before. One way trip costed 450kn for two adults and two children and a car. Ferrytrip took 2 hours. And same thing when coming back from Stari Grad port. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Just a little minus was that there where no dishwasher and no freezer for ice-cream on our room, but we solved it with the owner. And you can hear neighbours talking next door. But nighttime there were quiet. Overall very good experience! Can recommend. -Family from Finland

Let me start with the private bay! Wow! My boyfriend and I stayed at Villa Rosa for 5 nights together and I am still in awe over how beautiful, pristine and special the private bay was. Swimming in the Adriatic Sea daily steps away from our room was absolutely sacred and unforgettable. When I saw the pictures before arriving, I thought it looked great, but the photos really don't do the magic of this place justice. Suzana & Zvjezdan were amazing hosts, very kind, welcoming, and generous, like old friends we had not seen in some time. The apartment was perfectly clean, inspiring, spacious and comfortable. Everything down to the doors and the fixtures were so carefully thought out and beautifully designed altogether. Every day, we walked to the local port (although, a car is great to have, too) and had beautiful meals and laughs together. We traveled all over Croatia and Europe and honestly Villa Rosa was the most special place we stayed by far. If you are looking to go off the beaten path, away from the noise, yet still have all the amenities that make a trip luxurious and fulfilling, this is the ideal location. We could have stayed there a month and are certainly looking forward to returning next year. Thank you dearly, Suzana & Zvjezdan!
