A very elegant historic home! Not a typical cape beach house But !! You’ll feel like you’re in Italy! Spacious, clean- very quiet spot. The French kitchen stove was a lovely surprise. We ate in dining room with kids just outside on a patio. Perfect!I am not altering my 5* rating - but suggestions for thoughtful additions:1.Puzzles, kids toys, beach toys would be nice2. Cues for pool table need tips3. Better Paddles for kayaks4.Supply spare gas tank for grill5. Leakage from refridge is discoloring floor. (Was fixed w a towel?)6.a second refridge would be so nice- we used our coolers for backup. But even w/o these “upgrades” we would happily return here. So thank you for sharing this lovely spot. Low tide was so fun for children- treasures galore

Home is large . Plenty of space for our big family . Property is private and has great views of the bay . Conveniently located within minutes of beaches, golf courses , fishing ,shops , restaurants, groceries & Water Whiz water park . Home is early 1900s with character of bygone era. There is no ac and in need of some minor repairs ( mostly exterior ) but was very clean with details to craftmanship that you just dont see much on newer homes . The no ac wasnt a issue for our stay as we stayed in early September and had a strong breeze coming off the harbor. All in all 5 star for our family

The layout is wonderful with seven plus bedrooms upstairs, five of them with in room private baths. Downstairs is very spacious and great for gathering together, and with several private areas where you can enjoy some quiet time or reading. While we brought most of our own utensils and cookware, the kitchen is very well equipped, with a French gas stove/oven, and we cooked a very delicious and enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner!! Being winter time we spent most of the time indoors enjoying each others company and putting together our jigsaw puzzles - very relaxing! A full size pool table and laundry in the basement. Really enjoyed the beautiful woodwork throughout the home. Not a complaint, but part of the enjoyment was figuring out the uniqueness of an older home with incremental modernization such as where light switches and electrical plugs were located; TVs were all smart/internet based; and each bed and bathroom were unique. Beautiful home, beautiful location and wonderful place to have a family gathering!! Will be back..

Our family of 9 (mostly young) adults loved the house and property. We had tons of space to spread out and also gather together. The panoramic views of the water were stunning. This old mansion, adorned with beautiful hard woods and moldings, was filled with countless rooms, nooks and crannies with interesting knickknacks and artwork. The beds were comfy. We’d love to come back someday!

This place was really great, but it’s over 100 years old and from the outside appears slightly rundown. You can’t help but feel like a meeting with a ghost is possible, but luckily, we didn’t have any run-ins with the supernatural. The location is stunning with water access, although the beach is a bit rocky. But kayaks are provided and there’s a dock/pier to relax on. Some minor inconveniences with what was supplied, but overall, it’s a very neat/interesting home, with amazing original architecture and gorgeous views!

Nice but secluded location with great views to water but difficult access to its beach. Multiple rooms ok but really shabby for the rent. Dreary interior , not much artificial light; many not working or hurst out. Except for range,,poorly equipped kitchen. W/D in basement down poorly lit stair. No hot water last 24 Hrs.

There’s no A/C in the property and the description, although technically correct, doesn’t point that out. There are plenty of TVs, about in every room, and in the living room, but no directions on how they work. Directions would have been nice. The location is superb, and we enjoyed the use of the kayaks, paddling around the bay on a calm morning. That was very enjoyable. I’d go there again, but if I had the choice on dates, I’d go when it was a cooler time of year.
