Urban Woodland Retreat, Near the ~UW~, Convenient to Everything

Ron's place is PERFECT! If you're looking for a quiet, safe, cozy spot with great separation of space, and walkable to public transit, look no further! This apartment is easily one of the best vacation rentals I've ever experienced and what tips it over the edge is Ron's incredible hospitality and care. Close to University Village, Children's Hospital, UW Hospital, Husky Stadium, grocery stores, and many coffee shops and restaurants, it was easy to get around without a vehicle. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk! The apartment itself is equipped with absolutely everything you need to be completely self-sufficient, and then some. The tea / coffee, cold drinks, chocolates, and s'mores kit upon arrival were the cherry on top of an already perfect sundae! We will absolutely return any time we're visiting Seattle. Ron's place is an easy first choice for an amazing stay. Thank you, again, for all your help during our (somewhat difficult!) stay! Ron rolled with all the punches, and was SO kind to my mom, brother, and myself. 5 stars all the way!!

This unit is great! We loved how conveniently located it was to a bus stop. It was well-stocked and comfortable. The back yard and patio was great.

The lovely property has all the comforts and tools of home. A short drive to everywhere we needed to be, a gorgeous setting, and the host stocked the kitchen with everything you would have on hand at home. If our oldest wasn’t graduating from UW, we’d be back!

Welcoming and helpul host, the amenities were excellent

This was our second stay here. The space is comfortable and beautiful. Ron is a wonderful host. Our granddaughter was so excited that we were returning to this place so she could have s’mores again! I am sure we will return. The location is excellent. Walking distance to a grocery store and right on the Burke-Gilman trail.

Apartment was on ground level of 3 story home. Very clean and had all of the amenities we needed. Owner was on property and did a thorough job of showing all the amenities and where everything was. Nice hiking/biking trail just behind the home. Great location in nice neighborhood.

We travel to Seattle a couple times a year and this is always our first choice VRBO to rent. We love the location, the unit is always immaculate and stocked beyond everything we need! During this recent stay we enjoyed using the outdoor space to grill dinner and hang out around the gas firepit in the evening. Additionally, we had spent the previous week traveling in CA, so the full size washer and dryer was a great perk! Extremely reasonable price for the unit and everything that comes with it!

Our stay was wonderful! The place was incredibly cozy and spotlessly clean, and we felt right at home the moment we arrived. We were surrounded by beautiful scenery and lush greenery, creating a perfectly serene escape.The backyard was a highlight, a true oasis where we enjoyed a wonderful barbecue. We also loved the small, thoughtful touches, from the active bird feeder to the inviting ground fire pit, which made our evenings extra special.The host was truly a gem—so wonderful and incredibly generous. Their attention to detail was evident everywhere, making our experience feel so personal and cared for. We can't recommend this place highly enough!

The Urban Woodland Retreat was the best vacation rental my family and I have ever stayed in! The condo was situated in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with the most amazing backyard. It was very clean and well stocked with great amenities. It was tastefully decorated with artworks possibly from Ron and Linda’s travel adventures. They thought of every detail to make their guests feel right at home. If we are in the Seattle area in the future, we would definitely book again! Thank you for your hospitality!

This is our third visit to this property, and as usual, I have nothing but great things to say. The location is a huge bonus, but it's really the thoughtful hospitality that the hosts provide that keeps us coming back. We are so grateful for what has become a familiar home away from home when we visit Seattle.

Perfect Seattle stay for a small or couples. The area was nice, close to University, parks and pretty easy to get downtown. Beautiful outdoor deck overlooking woods with lots of birds. Place had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing.

This property had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay plus a few lovely extra touches. I have never had a host walk me through the property before and Ron was friendly with a quick tour that helped us settle in faster. Above all I loved sitting on the deck with my coffee in the morning. You know that there is a busy road on the other side of the trees as there is a light hum, but you are nestled in a serene spot where you can slowly wake up in the morning. I wish I could have this everyday!

Excellent 4 days at this beautiful apartment

Seattle was a short stop on our way to Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise. The VRBO was absolutely spotless, well stocked, and had a beautiful view. The host Ron was accommodating and responsive to all of our needs. Highly recommend.

The property was spotless. The owner was readily available and helpful with everything. While it was a little ways to the city center, we used rideshares and the light rail seamlessly. I would highly recommend this adorable two bedroom to all. Thank you Ron for a great stay!

Property is beautiful! Brand new carpet and everything looks brand new!! Outdoor porch is so comfy to sit and enjoy the outdoors! Every amenity thought of from complimentary drinks, cooking spices, s’mores, toiletries, etc!!! Even a makeup mirror for the ladies!!

I hate to say wonderful things about this place as I want to keep it a secret. It is amazing - from the location to the amenities and to the beautiful woodland backyard. There are so many things I could point to as examples but our favorite was Ron had a s’mores kit ready to go for when our granddaughter visited. We will be back!

Nestled at the bottom of three flights of stairs, this cozy little apartment opens out onto a beautiful lush patio, which in May was filled with flowering shrubs. Gorgeous. Spotless does not even approach describing how clean it was. Great spot.

This was our graduation trip to Seattle. The property was located just close enough but far enough away from the UW campus. A wonderful oasis amidst the chaos of grad traffic. The property is immaculate with a lot of amenities. Loved the garden (though we didn’t use the fire pit or barbecue). Great to have two rooms that were separated from each other. Ron was a great host and explained everything to us during check-in. He checks in once in a while which was appreciated. Would come back if we ever have an event in Seattle.

The location was perfect for our plans with our daughter at UW; and the neighborhood, yard and proximity to the Burke-Gilman Trail was just perfect for us! The unit was clean, beautifully maintained, and was stocked with everything you can think of in terms of what you might need or forget- including cold beverages in the fridge! I have never stayed at any other VRBO that included so much to make you feel at home. That’s all because of Ron, the host/owner, who couldn’t have been more friendly, accessible or accommodating! Hope to find this property available again for a future stay.

Probably the best stay I’ve had in a long time! I want to be selfish and keep it all to myself but I won’t. There were more amenities than I’ve had anywhere else. We were immediately impressed with the host and property. So much so that we extended our visit. We ended up staying in more than going out into Seattle because we liked it so much. Stay here, you will love it!

Property is absolutely beautiful, good restaurants and coffee a very short walk from your door. Great location, very clean and nice inside. Ron was so welcoming and we felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time! When we come back to SCH or Seattle we will most definitely want to stay here again. Thank you Ron!

Ron’s place really suited our requirements for 12 days in Seattle to be close to UW campus for 2 rowing regattas. Close to a supermarket and a beautiful neighbourhood for morning walks. It was like home away from home. Thank you for the extra touches Ron.

We love the location and have returned to this home from home many times to be near to our family. The grandkids take turns to come and stay with us and the fire pit with S’mores has become a tradition!

The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. The backyard was beautiful, and the gas outdoor fire pit was a welcome delight for morning coffee. We will definitely book again.

I needed to spend 5 weeks in Seattle to receive treatments at U of W hospital. The amount of attention Ron put in to making his VRBO feel welcoming, cozy, clean, and comfortable helped my mindset tremendously! He was so flexible with all of my care team coming and going, and for that I am so grateful! The location could not have been better! Loved the trail nearby and felt so safe! I will definitely be using this location again anytime I need to return to Seattle for medical treatment.

Unit is exactly as described. Place was immaculate. Nicely close to the University District, grocery shopping and breweries. Especially enjoyed the firepit where we made smores with the kit supplied by the host.

We had an amazing stay at Ron’s place. He is one of if not the most attentive and thoughtful vrbo hosts. The placed was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Ron and his wife even took time to clean off the high chair they let us borrow for our little one. The place is nice and cozy in a very safe neighborhood. Highly recommend this place

We loved this place. My friends were so comfortable during their stay. The apartment has everything you might need, and just has a very special, comfortable and homey feel. It was clean and well stocked. Ron was great to communicate with. I’ll definitely be booking this place again when I have guests come visit.
