There is nothing chic about this unit. It is a small basement studio unit down steep stairs with one small breadbox size window that is barred off so no emergency exit. My wife cleaned the bathroom before she could use it. The bathroom floor is ripped and the shower had moldy caulking around. There was a manual espresso coffee machine, if you know how to use one, but there was no coffee provided. The owner did leave a few bottles of water. We were told to park in the driveway but when going to the car after dark, the owner has their two cars parked in front, so we were blocked in. I had to message the owner to get my car out in the morning. I would not stay here again.

Dare (the host) was very hospitable & communicative. They made sure my visit was very comfortable. The surrounding is very quiet. I was flown into town & decided upon this rental. For posterity - for individuals with (heavy) luggage, possibly leg troubles, &/or taller individuals - you will have to walk up/down some stairs to (what appears to me) a well-renovated basement. The stair corridor is somewhat cramp. The walls & ceiling are also very thin. There was some construction/renovations happening above me, & it disturbed my stay a bit. Pertaining to parking, I had to park on the side of the small driveway so as to not impede the host from coming & going themselves - a slight inconvenience, but a workaround. Overall, it was a good stay! ✨

The host was able to allow us an earlier check in which was appreciated. However, this stay feel short of expected. The ad states chic. The definition of this is elegance and sophistication. This is very misleading. It also states a fully equipped kitchenette which is misleading as well. Guests should be aware there is no kitchen sink and the laundry room wash tub is were kitchen cleanup happens. The kitchen fell short of many basics. Coffee mugs, wine glasses, larger beverage size glasses, no linens at all in the kitchen. A garbage can in the kitchen is also necessary. This is to only mention a few. These items plus many others have always been provided when we stay with VRBO. The bathroom needs more linens. Hand towels as well as washclothes. When we sat on the bed for the first time the mattress fell through the bed frame due to the slates not properly postioned in the bed frame. My husband and I lifted off the mattress and postioned the slates properly so this would not happen again. This should be checked. Now for my biggest concern. The fire safety of guests. There is only one window in this basement suite and I believe it does not meet fire safety standards. It has security bars on it that would not allow for this window to be opened in the event of a fire. I also believe this window does not meet the size requirement for a suite in a basement. All of these issues have been shared with the host in hopes of providing a safe and more enjoyable stay for others.
