The Aurora building is just awesome, it has character. The wood floors, mantle trim, and views from the big bay windows will immerse you into a great Detroit experience. It’s close proximity to ALL venues meant we could walk anywhere - from the River to the DIA. The Aurora makes the entire city incredibly accessible. This increased our overall ‘utils’ of satisfaction. I grew up in Detroit and remember the tough times. We walked the streets at 2am with not a worry in the world. The Aurora and her kind host get my very rare 5 star review. The D is back, jack! Stay here and enjoy all of it, worry free. Parking is easy, too!

Really cool historic building and the communication with the host was great. I wouldn’t say any of the views are very scenic and the bed was possibly the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on, but everything else was nice.

My wife and I stayed at this property on a cold Friday night in February. This place was as listed and the check in was wonderfully easy. There were heaters strategically placed in the unit that did a great job of keeping us warm. The only criticisms I have of the property are that the check in time is a little too late and check out time a little too early. Also, even though the neighborhood is improving, there are some abandoned-looking houses nearby that are a little scary walking by at night. On balance, though, it was a great place and we would stay there again.

We visited Detroit for a Red Wings game and found this property close to the arena. The room is beautiful, we could see Ford Field from the dining area. We had a nice relaxing night, then walked to our game. The parking recommendations were greatly appreciated, we parked for two days in a parking garage and paid less than we normally would for event parking. Thank you for a great experience.
