Unique 4 ac. private country estate, stunning views, 1/4 mile to Va. Creeper!

Well, the best was the view but Jim and the place were a close second.

Mr. Jim was a great host and the accommodations were as anticipated. We definitely suggest visiting the Damascus Diner for some great food. The trees are beginning to change and add a slight bit of color to the forrest. 10 out of 10.

Greeted upon arrival by Mike and Penny (their wonderful, friendly dog). Mike showed me to my suite, explaining the layout, the various controls, the hot tub, and answered all of my questions. He additionally recommended several local restaurants, both of which were exceptional. The suite had everything I wanted, was quiet and cool, even through the heat of the day.

Our trip was great! We really enjoyed staying at this property and look forward to returning with our children soon! We rode the VA Creeper Trail and (for this big ol' girl) the hot tub that was offered at our VRBO came in very useful! Thank to Jim and Karen for our special breakfast and for such clean accommodations. We truly have nothing to worry about. They took such great care of us. We can't wait to come back!

We came up for the weekend- the property was clean, and looked like the photos. Jim was friendly and accommodating and a few minor hiccups were immediately addressed and we enjoyed our stay! Too bad portions of the trail were closed- will have to come back again once they re-open.

Gosh, where to start!! First, we already can’t wait to come back. Jim’s hospitality was beyond expectations! Gracious, friendly, helpful! His home is a beautiful place sitting up with a spectacular view of the Virginia countryside. I could’ve stared out at the vista for hours. And oh my, the bed was heaven sent. In fact, I have the details and will likely be ordering one for my own home. Rarely is a place exactly as described or as you hope. But this place is exactly as described and more than we could’ve hoped for. Jim, thank you for sharing your beautiful refuge with us!

Jim was the most amazing host we've ever had, kind, compassionate, helpful, and I might add loving. He even sent my wife home with some vitamins to help with her leg cramps. Penny; the house mascot, was the most precious dog I've ever got to get kisses from. The property was pristine, beautiful and comfortable. Thank you for a perfect stay

Our stay was highlighted by sweeping views, the peaceful sound of running water, and a gentle host who made a wonderful and romantic nest for our getaway. We especially had fun with the ping pong and foozball tables

The view was absolutely beautifully from our bedroom and the hot tub. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The host, Jim, did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. His hospitality was great! We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Everything about this property was perfect. It is beautiful, well maintained, peaceful and comfortable. The sunset and view from the patio are stunning. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Jim and Penny (the dog) are kind and gracious hosts. They met us as we arrived, and Jim showed us around the room and made sure we knew where everything was. I could not have asked for more in a home away from home, and we will definitely stay there again.

The owner reached out before we arrived to make sure we knew where we were going and to arrange a time so that they would be there. The home is nestled back into the hills so it's a short drive on a narrow road to get to the property. And when you arrive You will be astounded by the view overlooking the valley below and horizon off in the distance. The very congenial owner met us as we were parking and gave us a tour of the home. Our room alone was quite sufficient. It had a bed and two chairs and access onto the patio with the view, hot tub, communal outdoor seating and fire pit. We took advantage of the hot tub late that evening, which was awesome. But in addition to the room, we had a separate bathroom with a full tub and a separate sitting room with a TV, small dining table and couch. It was definitely more room than we had anticipated. There was also a separate communal game room with a ping pong table, air hockey and a game table to play cards and board games. We enjoyed the property and its amenities. It was definitely the place to be!

I can’t say enough about this gorgeous place! We were dirty and sore after a brief backpacking trip and it was amazing to clean up, soak in the hot tub, and sleep in a perfect bed, waking up to the view of the clouds rising up through the mountains. And Jim was so welcoming to our pups. I seriously did not want to leave!
