Stayed May 11, 2025I enjoyed my stay at Sweet Digs' Ultimate Pet-Friendly Studio with Patio for its funky, colourful décor and prime location on Halifax's vibrant Agricola Street, making exploration easy. The pet-friendly vibe and quick response from management (they promptly delivered extra toilet paper) were positives. However, several issues need to be addressed. It's not luxurious; much of the décor feels budget (like from Dollarama), and the kitchen cupboards seem like retrofits. Missing basics included salt/pepper, butter/jam packs, coffee/tea, soap, hangers, a laundry basket, face cloths, towels/blankets, and the coffee maker shown in ads. Pots/pans were worn and insufficient for cooking.Maintenance was lacking peeling wallpaper (melted near heaters), a shower leak, broken blinds, windows in need of repair, a dark interior, a confusing thermostat (the apartment was cold), absent rugs from photos, dirty patio furniture, and a littered backyard with leaves. I expected a washer/dryer, but I didn't discover one until late. Recycling signs (as shown in the listing photos) would help out-of-towners like me sort waste properly.Check-out was complicated by an unmentioned marathon route; a heads-up would've helped. Overall, the property has great charm and location, but better upkeep, supplies, and communication would elevate the experience.

Stayed Aug 10, 2025The apartment. And area were amazing. So many great little cafe’s , pubs and deli’s close by . I had my dog and we walked through the beautiful little neighbourhood and the Halifax Commons multiple times per day it was so convenient and nice. The unit was well equipped to be able to prepare some meals as it does get tiring eating out all the time . I was a bit worried about parking but had no trouble at all for the 10 days I stayed. Excellent experience! Highly reccomend!

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Great location, cute space! Was here for 3 nights and enjoyed it here. The space was good for a short stay and while we didn’t have pets with us, it was a very good space for fur friends. Owner responded within a good timeframe. Bathroom needs minor repairs but everything works perfectly fine. Would recommend if you want to stay close to the city but a little bit outside the busyness of everything. Harbour front is about a 30 min walk. Citadel and the fort is not even a 10 minute walk away. Good food spots and cute shops nearby.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025Cons:- /! Next guests entered the unit way before our checkout time of 10am, and told us the host said they could drop off their luggage. When asked, the host said they didn't know why the guests did that, because after 11 they can. When asked again why they even could access the unit and our belongings during our stay, I received a very generic (automatic?) message stating your safety is our priority and asking for more details... clearly they didn't give a damn, and either they reuse the same code for all guests, or the overlap is not properly configured, and therefore a major issue.- Living/Bed-room: - Hard and thick pillows - Fitted sheet too small - Bed right next to building entrance, so people going in and out at full volume, slamming doors and climbing loud stairs at any time of day or night - Blinds are messed up, but good curtains in front. No screen on the left window - Having windows open can get loud and isn't really an option at night - Main light is hospital bright and tied to the ceiling fan, so no fan at night- Bathroom: - Fan broken - A bit cramped- Yappy nearby dogs and loud upstairs walkers from 7am onwardsPros:- Pretty firm mattress but comfortable- Good curtains- Good shower- Shampoo/body wash provided- Nice central area with lots of options around- Easy check in with door codes (too easy?)No opinion:- Didn't use futon, kitchen, TV or back patio- Didn't have a pet- Unit could be cleaner, but not bad

Stayed Jun 9, 2025Very cute little apartment with full kitchen and a tiny patio. We weren't travelling with our pet this time, but it’s very well set up for furry companions, with cat climbing structures and dog beds suitable for smaller to medium sized dogs. It opens onto a busy street, but the Halifax Common is quite close for walks. Despite catering to pets, it was very clean with no odours.

Stayed Mar 29, 2025Stayed for a week while vacationing in Halifax, found the apartment space clean and well-organized for a relatively small apartment space. I found that there were a few pots and pans left in the kitchen that had either been put back dirty or not washed well, but that was my only cleanliness complaint, other than the smell of dog/cat that was also present, but to be expected for a pet-friendly rental. A really nice bathroom, and I appreciated the bed being partitioned off from the rest of the living room quite inventively with a storage shelf! Would definitely consider staying here again when I come back to Halifax.
