Stayed Sep 29, 2025This place was in perfect spot if you are looking to be close to trains and the station. I had a little trouble finding it at night but the Host was so sweet and very kind in helping me It’s the perfect size for one person, so I’m glad I picked it! Definitely stay here if you are going to be exploring Tokyo like me.

Stayed Mar 15, 2020My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be visiting again in the future. Setagaya was a wonderful place to stay, with something new to explore everywhere we turned. The access to the main train stations really helped us get our money’s worth, with the train passes we had!

Stayed Mar 5, 2020Great spot to jump off from and explore Tokyo. Close to transit with a number of cool neighbourhoods in close proximity. Would recommend staying here to anyone coming to Tokyo looking for a clean space where they can plan their days from.

Stayed Aug 21, 2019As a solo traveller and a first time visitor to Japan, this small and cozy ground floor appt was perfectly located to explore the vast City of Tokyo. It's easily accessible to the metro and buses for exploring day and night and quiet and comfortable for re-charging and planning. I particularly enjoyed the local neighbourhood of Yoga and found some great little eateries and delis nearby. I found everyone to be very friendly and helpful, it was a wonderful experience!

Stayed Aug 9, 2019Location was terrific, very handy for station. Property was extremely small though, really should be described as a room. Bathroom was so small as to be very uncomfortable to use. Overall the property was dusty, had not been cleaned recently and there were no sheets for the loft bed.

Stayed Jun 11, 2019This place is small but cute. I didn’t sleep in the loft because it was too high and there were no safety rails but the futon couch worked great. Neighborhood is quiet. Tons of places to eat around. A very quick walk to the station. Grocery store nearby. The train takes about 10 minutes to Shibuya. Easy to also get to Yokohama and that direction if you change trains. Some things that weren’t in the listing that were a happy surprise: first, there is coin laundry nearby. The washer works great in the apartment but sometimes clothes need a good drying. Second, there is a sento (traditional public bath) down the street. The bath setup in the apartment is tight and it was great being able to go to the sento to stretch out. The neighborhood ladies are amazingly friendly and it was a great experience. There is a second sento on the other side of the station, about a ten minute walk. It was also very nice. Third, there are actually quite nice temples within walking distance of the apartment. The local temple you will pass is beautiful, but if you walk the other direction, you can get to jokoji temple, which has the lucky cat statues. And there are other shrines and temples in that area. It was a nice afternoon walk (but you can definitely find a bus as well). The pocket WiFi provided by the host was nice for internet as we walked around Tokyo. It was touchy (I had to refresh it periodically to work as we were out and about) and it didn’t get good reception on the apartment however. Overall the place was great, albeit very small. Absolutely fine for one person, tight for two.
