The Waves sits in a fantastic position right across the road from the beach, so imagine your mornings out on the balcony sipping a freshly brewed coffee from the espresso machine, while you check the tides and get ready to wander across to the water!



This Mt Maunganui holiday apartment includes bright and comfortable open-plan living with excellent sea views. Unwind on the couch and take in the scenery, or chill out on the deck with the BBQ cooking dinner in the background. The fully equipped kitchen has everything the gourmet chef could need.



Sleeping up to five guests across two bedrooms in super sized beds with deliciously comfortable mattresses and bedding, you'll be well set up for a family escape. Enjoy the Wifi & Smart TV with Netflix for your entertainment at the end of a big day or star gaze through the telescope in the lounge.



The bathroom features a large main sink, additional sink and bathtub through the door on the right, and the shower and toilet on through to the left.

When you do want to make the most of this great location only 500m from Mount Main Street you’ll find award-winning cafes and top-quality restaurants including abundant options for international cuisine. For the avid shopper, there is brand name designer labels to boutique shops selling local wares and everything in-between. Or, head across to the other side of the peninsula to visit Pilot Bay - it's less than a 10-minute walk away.

Other Things to Note:

Please note the cleaning fee includes:

- Pre and post stay clean.

- Commercial laundering and supply of all linen including sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, bath mats, face cloths, hand towels and tea towels.

- Basic supplies and consumables, such as pantry items; shampoo, conditioner & body wash; coffee, tea & sugar etc.

- Rubbish & recycling removal.

Cancellations on ANY THIRD PARTY SITE that is not Airbnb will incur a credit card charge regardless of cancellation policy. The host will send the guest a break down showing the non-refundable credit card fee.



The government has recently added a 15% occupancy tax to all holiday properties - we have adjusted the prices as much as possible to accomodate for this new tax.

Our apartment is fully managed which means all linen is commercially laundered & ironed, the apartment is professionally cleaned to hotel-standard before and after your stay and we have a dedicated local Property Manager who is available to help in any way, be it local knowledge of must-see & dos, recommendations of cafes and restaurants to just sorting out those occasional enquires or issues you may have.

    Very cool retro apartment in great location with amazing view of beach and surf. Easy walk to shops and restaurants etc. Had everything you would need and well stocked kitchen. There is just one bathroom and it is dated but was part of the charm. Excellent communication before and thoughout stay.

    The location of this bach is prefect. Right across the road from the beach. The beds are comfy and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook at home. However there are so many good restaurants a quick walk away, why would you?

    The view was great and main reason we rented it. Loved the ocean view and surfers in front of us daily. We rented for patio. Would have been a better patio with a proper table to dine . Only a coffee table available outside . However the place is tired which didn’t show as much in photos. Not particularly clean either. Sliding doors were very dirty and wallpaper coming off. A few appliances like bbq didn’t work well until we cleaned as it was filthy, no microwave which should be essential , and toaster oven didn’t work . Bedroom was too hot to sleep so we had to move mattress into lounge where there is an A/C. And when it was windy the windows howled as there wasn’t a proper seal. I have stayed in Mount 7 times and this place was good but overpriced for the condition of place .the view of ocean has to be worth the price. The apartment is really a Bach and could use a reno.

    Brilliant space. Bigger than expected. Great location. Loved the deck in the afternoon for reading on the couch. Excellent kitchen and laundry. So good having three singles in second room instead of bunks. Good bathroom. Dated but perfectly functional. Just everything you need. Can't rate it high enough and would definitely love to stay again. Thank you.
