The Terrace on Galli Tassi - ROOFTOP VIEWS!

Very comfortable and clean. Amazing location. We cooked in which was a nice option. We did laundry. No dryer but they do have a long clothesline on the large balcony which was nice. Enjoyed playing backgammon and drinking wine with an amazing view.

Loved the property, the roof top patio is really what makes it! AC was in each bedroom and worked very well. It was so hot, AC in the main living space would have been nice. Kitchen was well equiped but we never cooked. Check in was smooth, we met Fabrizio at the front door and he gave us a walk through. Expect stairs! It is on the 3rd floor which means it's 4th floor for us in North America. The property is very comfortable and the wifi worked. We parked outside the wall and was a 10 min walk. If you are looking for older charm within Lucca's wall then this is it. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay - the apartment was charming with fantastic views from the terrace. There are a few stairs to climb, but we saw it as good exercise! Would definitely recommend

This apartment location was amazing and we had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Lucca. Our host even left us a delicious pie upon our arrival to help celebrate our honeymoon.

Our stay was seamless from the beginning. The apartment was clean and check in was very easy. The air conditioning was a great perk in the summer heat. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We could not have asked for any better. The apartment is well appointed in a great neighborhood not too far from the center of Lucca but away from the busy tourist and shopping streets. Clean and comfortable. Communication with owners and property manager was responsive and helpful. Check in was easy and efficient. The apartment had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in - even a sharp knife which is usually lacking, and ice cube trays! Terrace was fantastic for dining and relaxing, with wonderful views. Beds are comfortable! Would stay again if visiting Lucca. Love this place!

This is the perfect place to stay in Lucca: an old palazzo in the historical center (quiet part) with an amazing view on the terrace overlooking the red roofs and enjoying the swallows. Don’t miss the museum Mansi, the neighbors on the opposite side of the street, and see how a rich family lived in Lucca in the 17th century. Tania and Fabrizio, thanks for your hospitality and helpful communication and not to forget helping us with our heavy suitcases upstairs.

Great communication with property owners - earlier check in was available- great apartment- local shops and little supermarket- very comfortable beds abd we ate outside on the terrace for every meal we ate in - thank you Tania and Rory

The terrace is a gem and we had a wonderful stay. Rooms are comfortable and there is a lot of space.

This apartment in Galli Tassi is special. We stayed for five nights and felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The apartment is spacious and full of charm, the terrace an oasis in the city. But beware of the stairs! There are 70 steep stairs to reach the apartment. Not for the faint of heart, especially after a night of eating and drinking in one of the many great restaurants Lucca has to offer. Still, an amazing stay!

Spacious 2 bedroom with a lovely covered outdoor area. It is near restaurants and small grocers. Very relaxing but be reminded you will need to climb 5 flights of stairs since there is no lift. Your reward is the view :-)

This was our home for two weeks in Lucca. The bedrooms were a good size with plenty of storage room for clothes and luggage. The bathroom and kitchen were updated. The apartment was well supplied. The terrace is large and we enjoyed it for morning coffee, after drinks and a few dinners. It was great to have it covered from rain or bright sun. We would stay here again.

This unit is everything we needed for our stay in Lucca. The beds were comfortable, shower was great, and the location was close to all we needed. I cannot say enough about the owners of the unit. Communication was prompt and so helpful. We had our flight from the US cancelled the day before leaving for Italy. I had to scramble to delay our accomodations, tours, restaurants by 1 day. It was very stressful, to say the least. These owners did not hesitate with their understanding and helping us out immensely. My only recommendation for travelers is to try and not bring a large suitcase, as the 4 flights of stairs to the unit were difficult enough with our carry-ons. I cannot imagine a large suitcase. We would stay here again in a heart beat. It was delightful! Thank you so much!

What an absolutely perfect space and location! The apartment is in the heart of Lucca - the city walls bring such a cozy feeling as one wanders the old streets and alleyways. Restaurants, shops, churches galore! We were absolutely charmed and are sure this is a highlight to our trip! The apartment is incredibly spacious- comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom with double sinks! The kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed coffee on the terrazzo each morning to watch the sun. Also a night in to enjoy a light meal and wine. The terrazzo is a whole room to enjoy - perfect light, quiet, comfortable and lovely views. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The stairs are manageable, wide and you can stop for a rest to enjoy the views at the landings. I hope to someday bring my family back to stay and explore!! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a perfect location and the terrace is fabulous. Our hosts were delightful and quickly responded to all our questions. Thank you!! Be aware that there are many steps to the third floor but we managed easily (at 71 years old) and the climb helped us walk off the pasta! Hope to return soon!

This was our favorite stay in a recent trip to Italy! The views from the terrace are stunning. The rooms are spacious and comfy. We had a wonderful check-in experience with Fabrizio who met us at the flat. Great location! You are write in the heart of historic Lucca with cafes, piazzas and churches all around. Safe and beautiful. The flat is on the 3rd floor -- and there is no lift. (Fabrizio graciously carried my suitcase up the stairs.) But all part of this experience.

One of the best places we’ve stayed in, this flat has it all: space to stretch out, great views, comfy beds, ample shaded but airy outdoor space, huge and newly renovated bathroom, A/C, laundry! Well-equipped kitchen, cute local touches. Super-convenient location. Would definitely stay here again. Notes: it’s on the top floor, not good for anyone with mobility issues. Loads of places nearby for coffee or a drink. Hosts very helpful and communicative. Easy and cheap direct bus from nearby Piazza Verdi to Florence Peretola airport via Guidoni tram stop!
