The Sand & Sun Loft HUGE & OPEN Space, Private Roof Deck, & Patios!

The owners were lovely and attentive to all calls and requests. The property was a bit small for us and a little to far east. We did however throughly enjoy our time in Santa Monica.

Amanda was an amazing host who was very accommodating to all of our needs. She provided us with an additional bed and was very responsive if anything came up during our stay.

I actually stayed at this property for much longer, so this review covers my stay spanning nearly a year from mid-2018 to mid-2019. The best thing about the property is the host. Amanda is incredibly nice, responsive, and understanding, which was essential given my extended stay. There is a full-time handyman on duty who was always there to handle the occasional issue (always within less than 24 hours). The place has been redone recently, both bathrooms are clean and new. You literally are just a short walk to the Beach and Promenade, and you've got super easy access to the 10 freeway, Pico, and Lincoln. The secured, underground parking space was also huge (especially during this rainy season). All in all this is a space I highly recommend for anyone wanting a safe and comfortable stay in Santa Monica.

Amanda was very easy to work with, both in scheduling our stay and with questions we had. The unit is bright and airy, and was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen is small, but quite well-equipped. Updated bathrooms and plenty of closet space. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Your rental is spacious and full of natural light, beautifully appointed and l so appreciated having an underground parking space. Made me feel safe. When l am back to Santa Monica, l hope this unit will be available and would recommend this clean, well maintained rental to anyone.

I spent six weeks at Amanda's wonderful Santa Monica apartment, and I wished it had been more. Roomy, immaculately maintained, well-located, sunny... it really had everything I was looking for. I look forward to staying there again on my next trip to Los Angeles.

We stayed for 5 days and we didn't find anything to complain about. The house is very beautiful, comfortable and clean. We did the laundry, soap and everything was already there, the kitchen as well has everything you need (even if we only had breakfast at home). Wifi works really well and it's fast. We enjoyed having the terrace. The position of the house it's convenient both if you're going to Hollywood or Downtown (it's next to the highway entrance) or to Santa Monica Pier (15 minutes walk) . A. was very kind and helpful, she sent us useful informations and all the details we needed for our stay. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

A is a wonderful host. Good communication, prompt, friendly and organized. Everything was as appeared in photos. The loft is clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. The host was friendly and gave me an orientation to everything in the home upon arrival. (I believe there is also self check-in with a lock box.) When I went to do laundry, the knob to the on/off setting dial was just spinning and I couldn't turn it on. She immediately sent over her handy man to fix it. The furnishings in the apartment seem pretty new and are nice and quality. You have supplies in the kitchen, two nice TVs. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms keep the place light and airy in the summer. It was a reasonably peaceful location, not far from the main attractions or any place you might have to work depending on your reason for the stay. Parking was easy with either garage or supplied permit parking. Just pay attention to street cleaning days. Not far from the freeway on ramp either to get places in the city (though of course traffic may be the issue! Try the new metro to downtown.) Close to Sweet Rose Creamery for a summer treat or even a good coffee (A gourmet ice cream and coffee place). The windows provide some nice light and fresh air. There were dishes, glassware, coffee maker, water kettle, cooking supplies, full size fridge. The roof deck surface can get hot - I recommend shoes up there. It was a comfortable, relaxing stay. I had a bad experience on another site with a host who didn't clean. This was the exact opposite. The place is professionally taken care of. A+. I highly recommend this host and this property. This stay restored my faith in vacation rentals and good hosts. Thank you!

Our stay at A's home in Santa Monica was fantastic. She coordinated everything for us in advance, down to the last detail. A's home is beautifully and tastefully decorated with an ocean theme. I felt so calm the whole time I was there! The kitchen is completely stocked with utensils and cooking items - everything you need. A supplied plenty of high-end items for our comfort - soft towels, sheets, and these really cozy velvet blankets! The beds are very high quality, and I had many wonderful nights of relaxing sleep. The house is on a quiet residential street, and I barely heard any exterior noises. The house is laid out really well with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an upstairs study/living room, and a large downstairs living room and dining room. A's home is centrally located with easy freeway access to really anywhere in LA. I would highly recommend staying at A's.
