Stayed Jan 1, 1The property was a complete surprise. A huge high quality lodge in the owners Garden. Ideal location for visiting the Kent coast. 5 minutes from the sea by car and 20 mins walk. 30 mins from Ramsgate Broadstais or Margate. 45 mins to Canterbury. The property was very clean and comfortable and thecowners friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Blue Lodge to anybody. ..

Stayed Jan 1, 1Lovely pretty spacious comfortable lodge for a stay in Deal. Residential location but still with walking distance of all facilities and the seafront. Owners were very discreet which made it feel very private and relaxed.

Stayed Jan 1, 1A fine space for short stays/ long weekends. Too far from town for anything longer. Travel back after dinner out is not enjoyable. Dinner in needs reassessing, there are 3 induction hob sauce pans with an old frying pan and a random lot of Pyrex. The utensils need updating. Otherwise a restful location.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Sometimes, when you get to a holiday let, you feel betrayed by the description and pictures, not so at The Blue Lodge. Very clean and comfortable. If you had to force me to a negative, the only downside, was that we had to clean the barbecue before use but we didn’t mind. We were blessed with stunning weather and made full use of the excellent barbecue thereafter. The barbecue and seating area, is also under cover, so as long as it’s warm, you can plan your barbecue even if it rains. Of course, we made sure that the next visitor would in no way need to clean it before they used it. The owner also arrived with a delicious plate of fresh Kent Cherries, which was lovely touch. The owner also came straight across when we were struggling with how to operate the cooker. Easy once you know how! Our dogs loved the garden and the location is absolutely perfect for those wanting to simply leave the car on the drive for the duration. Lots of buses and trains, and very cheap. Sandwich and Canterbury are well worth the visit. 10 minute stroll to Deal, where there are plenty of nice places to eat and drink. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The accommodation was excellent and an easy place to see Deal and the surrounding towns . The car parking was a bonus as Deal has few spaces to reliably park. Close to local shops and supermarket. The owners left some lovely things to try loved the granola, crispbread and tea most unusual.

Stayed Jan 1, 1This is a beautiful lodge, clean and comfortable and only a 10-15 minute walk to the seafront. It had everything that we needed, the bed was really comfy and the towels were good quality as well. It would have been good to have instructions for the oven, I’m a bit of a technophobe and there were so many symbols, I couldn’t work out which one was just the fan, so had to google it! This lodge is in the owners garden (which is very nice) but it’s smaller than I expected , plus the bamboo screens which are mentioned in the description, were not there! Maybe this is just a summer thing, so didn’t really affect us but we did feel like we were intruding slightly, although the owners kept their blinds down. The only other thing that occurred to us was the lack of fire blanket and or extinguisher, which always seem to be present at self catering accommodation. Despite any negatives that I have mentioned, we would definitely consider using again and would recommend.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Everything you could possibly want , even down to cotton buds! Light, airy, clean, spacious Nicely decorated. Plenty of privacy Park the car on the front drive to the house then a 10 step level walk to the lodge and another world. Near to the sea front for a bracing walk, and a visit to Deal Castle for lots of history and views. Hight Street nearby (Saturday market), and 2 superstores a short drive away. Lots of other things to see and do further afield. Will be happy to book again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a very comfy stay at the Blue Lodge, which is well equipped, warm and comfortable. The location is slightly out of the centre which has advantages (quiet) and disadvantages (rather further to walk into town). The reason for marking it down on service was that there were no user instructions for any of the installed equipment.. On arrival the broadband was not working (thought it responded to being turned off and back on again, but the password and network name were not the same as in the rather brief welcome leaflet. That leaflet explained how to operate the TV but it did not explain how to operate the induction stove or the oven, nor was there any guidance about operating the showers. The water pressure was very low at the kitchen sink. These are all petty things which could have spoiled what would otherwise have been a 5-star stay. They are easily remedied by providing user instructions for all of the service goods that are installed

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a four night stay at Blue Lodge. The property was immaculate, had everything we needed. The property is in the owners garden but that was no problem at all. It had the added bonus of private parking which in a seaside town like Deal is worth its weight in gold. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The Blue Lodge exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. Spotlessly clean and immaculate, it really was a beautiful place to stay. The place had everything that we wanted. We met the owners and they were extremely pleasant and very helpful. It was in comfortable walking distance for amenities in Deal and easy driving distance to places in Kent that we wanted to visit. We have stayed in very many holiday cottages run by different companies and this was one of the very best. Our only slight reservation was the parking situation, this was in no way the fault of the owners. Although we were able to park on their driveway easily, the fact that other cars were parked on the roadway almost blocking their driveway made getting our car on and off the driveway difficult and almost dangerous. This though was in no way attributable to the owners and should not put anyone off wanting to stay at the Blue Lodge. Overall though I would recommend the Blue Lodge very highly.
