The Lofts of North Main Street

Excellent stay in St. Charles! The loft is great for a family of four or a couple. Lots of room and a full kitchen with all the cooking gear you need. Grocery store is close and main street has many options for restaurants and bars. Lots of history to see and Katy Trail is awesome to walk or bike (rentals right by the trail). This will be our spot when we come back.

The owner harassed me a Veteran about my service animal. Called me to tell me to GET out immediately. I was putting her life at risk. A Rat or Mouse moved my service animals bowl nightly. We froze first 2 nights due to limited blankets. Second visit the owner continued to manually adjust the AC via the Wi-Fi unit. When it was 80.

Loved how clean it was. Only thing wrong was there was no extra toliet paper.

Loved this loft apartment. Super clean and accessible. Location on Maine street was definitely a plus. Was nice having off street parking but our spot under the tree wasn’t the best. Our car was a disaster from the tree dripping brown liquid. The only other complaint was the huge dumpster right under our noses when we were on the porch. Would be awesome if the 349 parking spot could move to where the dumpster is and the dumpster would then move to under the tree. Take care of both issues. The host for the apt was very responsive to our communication and everything went without a hitch from booking to checking out. We had a great stay and appreciated the cute and clean place to stay! This was our first experience with vacation rentals and we will definitely use them again.

Location is great for exploring Main street. The space is very large and nice that it’s 2 levels with 2 bathrooms. There was a bad storm the night we stayed which resulted in water coming in through the front door- host advised they would address during week (not a problem as we were only staying one night and no way you could fix when wet). The kitchen is remodeled and nice. Issues we had…The loft definitely needs a deep clean. Trash can lid was dirty, comforter had stains, blinds dirty, table runner was dirty, and rug by front door definitely needs replaced due to all the stains- not the best thing to great us upon entry. Bed on main level was not comfortable and pillows were very thick and stiff. Not sure if there are is another rental below the loft but the back “patio” to that unit is close to the main bedrooms window. We were woken up at 1 in the morning due to talking and laugher from that unit- had no idea anything was so close outside the window. Would have stayed upstairs if we knew that.

Loved the loft, pictures were as shown on Vrbo site. The place was clean with everything you would need as far as shower supplies and kitchen wears. Gloria was Great to work with. She responded quickly to a few questions and had everything ready for us. We will go back. Plenty of room.

We came in town for a short visit for a funeral. This was a great place to stay. Convenient location for us, with plenty of good places near by to eat. Everything was clean and well layed out. We highly recommend !!

The host was wonderful. We were able to get in early to attend a production and appreciated it greatly. We were moved from our original reservation due to previous guest behaving badly. Our new room had a few too many stairs for seniors but it was beautiful, clean and very well laid out. We had a wonderful time. Thank you

So much room! Everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable. You have a dedicated parking place and it's in an excellent location for shopping and dining. The bed was super comfortable.

Very clean. Need a few more wine glasses. Also some towel bars and hooks in the upstairs bathroom.

The place definitely needed to be cleaned. The rugs were dirty and the furniture needed to be cleaned. The hot water did not work in the bathroom upstairs and also AC was not great at all. The fans were going the wrong direction for the time of year and it was really hot. We almost went and bought another box fan because it wa very uncomfortable. Overallthe place needs new furniture and cleaning.

This was located fabulously! Literally 50 steps to N Main Street! This was perfect for celebrating a wedding that just happened earlier that day we celebrated on Main Street walked the whole entire time in the morning. We got coffee down below where the loft was and then we went to the farmers market the next morning absolutely perfect spot!!

The place is very cute and looks just like the pics with the exception of the ice cream shop that is featured in the pics. That was one of the reasons we were staying there, location and the build your own ice cream sandwich shop. I reached out and she responded very quickly that they had closed. It may be a minor thing, but our daughter wanted to go to the ice cream shop.

This apartment loft was lovely. It is over a coffee shop, but we did not notice any noise from the shop. Everything in the apartment was updated and clean. We were within walking distance of most anything that we wanted to see in old town St. Charles, including the Katy Trail, quaint shops, and restaurants. We had an assigned parking spot near the door of the apartment. The wineries in Augusta and Defiance were a scenic 45 minute drive away. This was a great place to stay for our girls’ getaway.

Our loft on Main was very quaint and accommodating. Location was perfect and the layout of the space worked well for a small groove of three. The kitchen at most everything needed, which we didn’t need anything other than coffee and was disappointed that there was no powdered or liquid creamers assortment of sweetening packets. One suggestion I have would be to use a non-scented laundry detergent or fabric softener because the smell of the pillowcases was disturbing to my falling asleep. Lastly, the one and only complaint would be that there is a very strong Cat urine odor, especially in the downstairs bedroom. It made it on tolerable to stay in the first night for sure. Otherwise, response time for any communication was amazing and again very cute loft in a great location.

Had a girls trip before the wedding. So fun

It was a pleasant experience. I had just finished doing the MR340 and paddling for 57 straight hours (no sleep) and was happy to get there. The place was clean, well maintained and quiet with no outside noise.

Super clean, quiet and comfortable apartment was a perfect base for our family of four. Loved being over a wonderful, friendly coffee shop which was our first stop every morning. Great communication from our host. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

This place was perfect for our long week-end. The town is so adorable with many restaurants and shops. There are bands in the bar and grills to listen to. Will be back!

Cute property with brick walls (my favorite) and a loft area that my neice would have loved if she was with us. Main street is right out of a history book but with bars and sweet shops. Oh and a cat cafe. Totally recommend

The location was perfect. So much cooler than I realized it was going to be. Walking distance to many pubs, shops, and eateries. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is on the historic Main street strip in St Charles, but close to the end of the strip, making it nice and quiet and private when it came time to sleep. The beds are comfy and there is ample space to spread out and have alot of people there at once. Its open concept and fully stocked with necessities for cooking onsight if you wish. Off street parking RIGHT next to the porch. Ill return here again for certain!

We had a great girls trip to Saint Charles! The unit was in a great location, we could walk everywhere, and had so much fun shopping and eating at all the amazing restaurants. This was such a cute unit and very clean. We loved everything about it.

Clean and charming two story apartment, right in the heart of the St Charles’ Historic District. Host is friendly and responsive. Top marks all around.

We had a great time in St. Charles with our middle school kids. The loft was a perfect pre-teen area and the kitchen was great.

We loved the home! Very clean, pictures and description is accurate with listing. Plenty of room for us and a great location in downtown St Charles! The only down side was, we are right above a coffee shop/restaurant and you could hear them in the evening talking as we were trying to go to sleep. Other than that, all was great!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was comfortable, clean and easy. Great host.

This is our 2nd time staying here for a girls weekend, and it is perfect.

Spent 3 days in St Charles. This was our second visit to St. Charles, just a different season. An ice sculpture event was taking place on our first day. We loved the location. So close to everything we wanted to do. Able to walk everywhere. The condo was perfect for us. The 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, gave us the privacy we needed. The open living room, kitchen area was very nice. The hosts were great to work with. Communication was quick and helpful. I would definitely rent this unit again.

Great location for a visit to old at charles

Some friends and I got together to celebrate my retirement and each other! We had a wonderful time and loved our VRBO selection!

Stayed for five nights while visiting family over the holidays. Plenty of space for 4 of us. Location was great…walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. Place was clean. Checkout time was earlier than we are used to but owner did try to accommodate. Would stay again.

This was a nice place to stay, clean, two bathrooms, plenty of beds . Close to all the shops. We met up with family and enjoyed the Christmas parade as well as lunch and supper right on Main St.

This is our third time staying at this property and has become a part of our annual Christmas tradition. Would highly recommend!

Downtown St. Charles is magical around the holidays. This apartment is perfectly located on the North end of Main Street. Public parking is close and it’s right above a coffee shop! Shopping, eating and Christmas Cheer. The place was a great place to gather and sleep before hitting the road (and the coffee shop below was a welcome surprise!).

Nice loft apartment just off of Main Street. Right where we wanted to be for Christmas Traditions. Clean and spacious with nice comfortable beds.

Property inside was beautiful. Wish our checkout time would have been at least 11 as we were in town to run the Half Marathon & it would have been great to be able to come back to the Apt. and cleanup afterwards. 😀

We've never been to St. Charles before, but it will now be our choice when we visit the St. Louis area. This apartment was connected to a local coffee shop, big bonus for us. But also within walking distance from tons of restaurants, bakeries, and more coffee shops. The apartment was clean, homey, and comfortable. Exactly what we were looking for, and we will stay here again.

Overall clean, very small living area, don’t even consider using the outdoor patio and chairs bc there is a smelly nasty dumpster right under and 2 ac units next to it. Not sure why the dumpster needed to be placed there because it could’ve been moved over next to the other dumpster on the other side of the parking lot well away from the outdoor deck. Make sure you go in with a bag of ice because the ice maker is not hooked up and there is one broken ice tray. Many beds upstairs, but the place is too small to really accommodate more than four Comfortably. Bathroom upstairs extremely small with no towel racks even.

We wanted to stay on Main St and this was right off the street. Lots of places to eat n shop. The Lofts was clean, well decorated and convenient to what we wanted. One of my favorite things was the same building has a very good coffee shop. Started our days with fresh coffee n tea and a pastry. Highly recommend the rental and location!

The location to Main Street was a huge plus. Comfortable and spacious loft.

Convenient location to walk to shops and restaurants or go for a run, larger than expected, and very clean. Comfortable beds. Combination of queen in separate bedroom and multiple twin beds in loft worked well for us.

Stayed one night with friends. We have never been to St Charles before. The location was perfect. The host was very easy to get a hold of and the house was perfect for two couples.

4 adults stayed in 4 twin beds on upper floor, used both bathrooms, left queen sized bed on first floor empty. Enjoyed free coffee with coffee pot and purchased almond and pistachio chocolate croissants and Turkish coffee at cool Yemeni coffee shop downstairs. Ate sandwiches and wraps at The Bike Shop and a variety of delicious salads and entrees at Louis and Clark restaurant. Made numerous purchases at bookstores, The Animal Store and gift shops.

Great location. Super clean. Communication with owner/ manager excellent. Questions were answered quickly. I would recommend unit and look forward to visiting again!

Pros: communication went well; didn't agree with a stipulation, but very much appreciated them working with me; able to screenshare to the TV; digital key; seasonings and some food items in cabinets; chain on door. Cons: some decor in photos were missing; toilet paper ran out first night after two uses; tea bag holder had only 2/20+ spaces filled; basic cleaning vs a thorough cleaning that'll remove evidence of previous guests; parking spot near funky dumpster. Nice unit, comfortable, safe area, plenty of dishes. It was a nice stay, we all had a good time. Just needed better prepping for new guests, a deeper cleaning, and more intent on actually hosting guests. Those are easy fixes, so feel free to check them out. We had a good stay. Thanks for having us!

Perfect place for my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 16th birthday. Lovely walk down Main Street, nearby to shops of interest and the riverfront.
