The floor in the room was filthy, like don’t walk around barefoot or your feet will turn black dirty. Staffing seemed to be a little short and it took a long time to get the car from valet for what you pay per night to have it done. The fireplace in the room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The room could use some touching up - old rugs, bathroom needs updating.
The Lodge Alley Inn was a perfect location for us. The room was bigger than expected with an older more historical feel. Very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is not included in your stay so be prepared to pay an additional fee. We parked at a parking garage about a block away from the inn for $18 a day. We never moved our truck once we parked. The Inn was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Definitely would stay again
Ok check in but did not like fake offer of arrival package when all they wanted was to pressure you into a sale presentation. Staff as friendly and helpful. Room was adequate but not enough seating for 4 to talk in front room. Two coffee cups, plates, wine glasses and some silverware. However, big sign saying we needed to wash everything before using, but no detergent. Only water was in bathroom.
This place was amazing, perfect location didn’t need a car or wanted one. The staff was well above super friendly kind gracious and helpful. Would and will recommend your place along with Charleston. Thanks
Unfortunately I was disappointed with this stay. First didn’t feel I was totally explained about the parking and second I know I left my sunglasses there and was promised to get a phone call back and never did and supposedly never found them. Won’t be back here again.
I had read a review about the very situation, but I thought it was probably an isolated incident. I assure you it was not. We made our reservation for Nov 3 -6, 2022 and prepaid in August of 2022. This was supposed to be a very special celebration. On Monday, October 31st, I received a text from the property stating that for November 3rd there was not a room for me. They could accommodate me with a room on 4 -6, but not on the 3rd for which I had prepaid. They couldn't say how long their offer could be available to me, so I should let them know right away. I live in Ohio, the property is in Charleston SC. They would refund my money for the room for one night but refused to refund the tax that I paid for the room, which was substantial. I had to make another reservation for a hotel on the complete other side of town for November 3rd, then pack up and travel again. When we arrived we checked in (room not available until 4pm) and the desk attendant was very nice and apologized for the behavior of the property manager. She stated that they had no control of reservations at the facility. She then directed us to the concierge desk. Conner pointed out several areas of interest within the city and then began a sales pitch for their new vacation opportunity which included the property where we were staying and that it worked on a point system. It sounded like a Time-Share of some sort. He offered several attraction tickets if we would sit through a presentation. I shared with him that if the property manager couldn't get my current reservation correct, I certainly had no interest in any future relationships with them. The main elevators were not available for guests use due to renovation. The exterior door that we were told to use to get to our room was unlocked (even though there was a key card lock on it) and the interior of that door was absolutely filthy. I would love to share those photos. The room was nice, but there was renovation going on above us and I had to call the desk to ask when the hammering was going to stop? She said that she really didn't know. The hammering finally stopped and about 15 minutes later. Shortly thereafter a large, loud wedding reception was being held outside our window. I would never return and place my trust in a facility with these property managers again.
Lodge Alley Inn is a time share property that is being completely renovated and what is being done is very nice and remarkably with all the construction going on we never heard any noise. What we did not know, nor were we advised at reservation or check in, that because it is a time share we had to move after two nights of a four-night stay although it was never explained why and only found out about it when we were told on morning three that we had to move our things to another room. The rooms are very nice and the location of the property is perfect. I will stay there again but will make sure what exactly our room status will be.
Great accommodations
Perfect location and clean property … couldn’t ask for anything better! Would definitely recommend
