Sweet, cozy little apartment located in a nice, quiet area of Tryon. Easily accessible from Lynn Road.

OMG!!! Never been to the area and it was a last minute decision. I really didn't have time to look into the details. Seriously was just looking for a bed and a potty. So, I was beyond pleasantly surprised! It was more than beautiful, all of it. I really didn't want to leave!!! I was born in Colorado Springs and raised in Alaska. This place and these mountains were more than dreamy! Zero complaints! Will be back. Just wish it could accommodate my teenagers too. So we could all enjoy next time. But perfect for a couples getaway!!

Exquisite property - one of the best, if not the best, rentals that my wife and I have ever experienced. 5 stars! The owner was very attentive and gave great recommendations for dining in the area. Everything about the Forest Door is great-clean, new, comfortable bed, great bath/shower. The apartment is secluded from the main house and offers complete privacy. It's located near the top of about a 1/2 mile journey up a beautiful unpaved road that in itself is part of the experience. Can't wait to return!

The host is welcoming and the decor is beautiful. The location is private and close to town. Tryon has a small and charming street downtown with a few unique restaurants and art galleries.

This beautifully appointed studio in the basement of an older home is spacious enough for two people. Charming rooms with stone walls and wood beams, beautiful linens, a functional --but small, note no stove/oven --kitchen. Located conveniently just a few minutes off the main road in Tryon. (Note, tough to find the first time at night, so don't check in after dark.) Really a delightful place to stay, I hope to be back.

Monica provided excellent communication before and during my stay. Directions to the property were perfect and every thing I needed for a comfortable, relaxing weekend was provided. The property is nestled in a wooded development, it’s quiet and the bed was divinely comfortable. If your soul and body need a “recharge,” this is the place to go!

Great stay! Super quiet and accommodating.

We stayed here the night after our wedding, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy our first night as a married couple. The apartment was beautiful, cozy, and peaceful—exactly what we needed to relax and start our new chapter together. Monica was so sweet and helpful! Highly recommend for a romantic getaway!

We found The Forest Door to be the perfect hideaway for our visit. Our hosts were very welcoming and the well appointed apartment provided all our needs. We look forward to future stays.

My husband and I went away for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Monica has done a wonderful job making the space not only lovely to look at but also very comfortable and relaxing. Although there isn't an oven, there are plenty of appliances to make simple food and coffee/tea. She was great at reaching out to answer any questions or help if needed. We had the best weather, the trees were so colorful and we enjoyed hiking and exploring the area.

My second time staying at The Forest Door and it won’t be my last. Very cozy and beautifully decorated apartment makes you feel at home. Comfortable bed, great shower, nice lounging space. Monica is very responsive and checks in to make sure you have everything you need.

I've never stayed in such an incredibly serene location. It is was so beautiful. The rental was superb. The best finishing touches of any I've ever stayed. The host is super nice and helpful. Exceptionally clean and the most beautiful decor. Would stay here again for sure.

The advertised pictures captured my attention but seeing this mountain gem in person was everything and more than expected. Artistic charm in every crook and cranny of this immaculate getaway in Tryon, NC. The hosts are friendly and engaging and were 110 percent willing to make my stay perfect. Would definitely rebook one day in the near future.

Off the beaten path but easy to get to, this place is as quiet as it can be. Tastefully decorated, every detail has been taken care of. Very clean and cozy. It's in the lower level of a spectacular home but once in the private entrance you won't know it. You feel as if you are in a stone cottage in the middle of the woods. We will be back!

This property is located in a beautiful wooded setting that makes it feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere…but you’re not! It’s peaceful and serene and the unit itself has a rustic, European feel to it but with all the things you need. The hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating! I will absolutely stay here again if I find myself in need of a place to stay in the Tryon area.
