The East Coast Host - The Modern Dojo

Wonderful experience at the Modern Dojo. First timing traveling without hotel and the host provided a beautiful, clean space.

Good location. Very clean. Great host. Upstairs guests were a bit noisy since we are seniors and go to bed early. Might try a different location next time under East Coast since experience was so good.

This was a very lovely quiet property that was very close to all of the fun attractions. The host was very kind and made sure that we were comfortable during our stay. We would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Spotlessly clean! Mobility limited guests may have difficulty with the seating area, it is very low to the floor. Hence the name “Dojo”, should have thought of that when booking.

The host was great and the apartment was super clean, nice location, convenient to surrounding attractions.

Loved staying here for the convenience to everything! The host was amazing and met us check in early!! 4.5 or 9.5(?) stars only due to needing to invest in some sound-proofing for the upstairs tenants. We had two different groups stay upstairs and we could hear every footstep. Would gladly book a stay with this host again!

The property was just as described in the listing and great for my daughter and me. The location was perfect for us to explore the different towns on OBX and the accommodations made us look forward to coming back at the end of each day! Any questions I had about the property were answered in the communication provided by the owner! Technology, temperature of unit, water pressure were all great and easy to navigate—things I don’t want to worry about on a vacation!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was beautifully decorated, spotless, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, offering both privacy and convenience to local attractions. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. Whether it was relaxing in the cozy jacuzzi tub or enjoying the weather on the couch on the patio, this place truly felt like a home away from home. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be booking here again in the future!

When we arrived the place was clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom was spacious. It felt like home.

This place is very cute. We only had an opportunity to stay for 2 nights and this was better then renting a hotel room.

Overall place was clean and had plenty of space for two people. In a convenient location near beach access and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

What a smartly designed place. The furnishings were great, I loved the jacuzzi and the closeness to the ocean.
