A beautiful light and spacious modern 2 bedroom 2 bathroom duplex apartment with its own front door on ground level opening directly onto the gardens. The apartment has recently undergone refurbishment and redecoration.
The kitchen and dining area are at entrance level, with steps leading down to the lounge and balcony and steps leading up to the bedrooms each situated on its own floor.
The apartment is fully tiled with full air-con. (air-con also has heating so apartment is suitable for a winter let). The master bedroom has a super king size bed which can also be changed to two single beds if required. There is an ensuite bathroom with bath with shower enclosure over, the second (twin) bedroom has the second good sized shower room situated next to it. The bedrooms and lounge both have blackout blinds or curtains. Wardrobes are equipped with plenty of hangers.
The dining room and kitchen are equipped for 6 guests.
There is a double sofa bed and single sofa bed situated in the lounge area, this area also has blackout blinds on the windows and internal curtains to separate it from the dining area and kitchen if used as a third bedroom at night.
A travel cotbed is also available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. (there is a dryer in the communal launderette) cafetiere.
The apartment is fully cleaned after each letting and bedding is fully changed with mattress savers on each bed.
Free, safe parking is situated outside the apartment.
There is also a small library of books, in many languages, in the reception area of the complex for guests to borrow.

Towels and linen can be changed if required at an extra charge of £18.50/20 euros on stays of less than 14 nights. On stays of 14 nights and over, one mid term towels and linen change is included, any extra towel and linen changes can be offered at a charge of £18.50/20 euros.
Ice packs, Beach umbrella and Beach toys, books and dvds are available in the apartment to use.

Newly purchased Smart tv with Netflix (channels include English and D/os/ch/fr/es/nl) Dvd player and wifi (high speed internet 'hotspot in apartment. There is also communal wifi at the resort reception area.
The lounge area has floor to ceiling French doors that open onto a balcony area which has a table and chairs and faces the rising sun so perfect for breakfast and alfresco dining.
A sturdy safe with an electronic combination (your choice) is provided in the apartment .
The Tavira Gardens complex is regarded as one of the best of its kind in the Eastern Algarve, buildings are in the Moorish style with lush mature tropical gardens. The complex has two pool areas each with adjacent children’s pools and loungers and umbrellas, tennis court, boules pitch, gymnasium, bbq's and bistro.


Tavira Gardens Restaurant & Bar

We are pleased to inform you, that as of May 1st, 2026, we have a new restaurant and bar opened, located next to the main pool.

The restaurant owners are a family that have been in the catering business for many years and now have taken their future into their own hands by opening their own restaurant at Tavira Gardens.

Andre, the son is the Chef, and was head chef at the well-known Zuretta Restaurant in Santa Luzia,
Excellent reviews over recent years at Zuretta are the best recommendation for Andre.

Opening hours may vary over the seasons and will be shown on the restaurant door.
Lunch (usually) 1300h -1500h
Dinner (usually)1900H – 2300h

There will also be a Snack Bar with Pool Bar, open outside these hours from approximately mid-June to mid-September.

The menu attached shows an idea of what will be served in the restaurant but may vary when ingredients are out of season or unavailable.


Health & Safety
Glass bottles or any glass or pottery are not allowed in the pool area.
Please read the pool rules as displayed on boards at pool areas.
Pool bar staff at the main pool will assist with basic order keeping of these rules from approx. mid June to mid September.

There may be a small charge for use of the tennis courts and gym.

Tavira gardens is 10 minutes from the motorway and a short drive or 15 minute walk from Tavira centre, or a taxi ride is approx 4 euros. The local supermarket is a 5 minute walk, approximately 300m and freshly baked pastries and bread can be purchased daily from here. Tavira is a beautiful historic town as well as a lively fishing port and offers fish as a speciality in its many inexpensive restaurants and tapas bars. Tavira has a large indoor market, selling fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, fish and cheeses all locally caught or grown.
Tavira boasts a large new shopping mall The Grande Plaza, (approximately 800m from the apartment) with boutiques, food court, cinema etc.. (The cinema shows the latest films, English films are shown in English with Portugese subtitles.
Tavira has managed to largely avoid the brash disco bars and lager louts that plague many of the resorts of the western Algarve, this makes it ideal for family holidays but your teenagers can still let their hair down, there are at least two or three good dance clubs in town.
June to September the local Camara (town council) organises street theatre, folk music and dance sessions, exhibitions, fairs, markets, a film festival, etc...
The town abounds in architectural relics of its Roman, Moorish and Crusader history.
The best beaches in the area are those of Ilha da Tavira, a sandbar which stretches along the coast of Tavira and which is reached by various ferries or by means of a 'toy' train. The Island has some 8 miles (12km) of white sands (even a remote nudist beach). Ferry or train take 5 to 10 minutes. Bars, Restaurants, lounger/umbrella hire are available on the beaches but you can also walk a few hundred yards and stake out your own uncluttered area.
The Guidiana River marks the border between Spain and Portugal. Centuries of conflict between the two have left a series of walled towns along the riverbanks. The Guidiana Valley is approx. 20 miles (30km) from Tavira but probably the best way to explore the walled towns is to take a leisurely river cruise from Villa Real do Sto Antonia (they stop for lunch en route up river).
The Ria Formosa Nature Park surrounds Tavira, rich in flora, fauna, it is ideal for birdwatching, rambling, cycling, horseriding etc..
The Benamor golf club is only a 5 minute drive away, and they do rent clubs by the round, or Blue Sky Golf rent clubs by the week and will deliver and pick up from the accommodation.

    All was good with our accommodation, location, facilities and hosts but both the pool areas had issues with algae as the filter system was down for a few days unfortunately, that said it was repaired and running by the end of the week, I think the outside of the buildings could do with a paint up as some areas are looking a little tired. A new management company were taking over we were told so things may change. We had a great time and Tavira is wonderful.

    we knew there were stairs, but didn’t realize that it was four levels. We’re given only one trash bag for 11 days. Don’t feel like we should have to buy basic supplies for a home. Check in didn’t tell us about access to the pool and gym and had to text and ask. But in the end, once we accepted all the stairs we made it work . Description should be clearer that it’s four levels in the house and two sets of stairs outside to get in, just so people are prepared . Otherwise, nice house, easy to park, outside of town but easy to drive into town. Nice to have a gym

    Great stay. Clean apt. All the amenities you would need. It’s a 5 minute walk to a nice grocery store and restaurant. Fifteen minutes to a fabulous mall. About 20 minutes to old town which has many shops and restaurants. This is a safe neighborhood and well kept apartment complex.

    The apartment was clean and a great size for a family! The complex had an amazing pool and a smaller quieter pool just outside the front door. It was a peaceful stay a 20 minute walk or 5 minute cheap Uber from the heart of Tavira. A large grocery store was an easy 5 minute walk away. The beaches on ilha Tavira were amazing and an easy Uber then quick water taxi away. We lived our stay and would not hesitate to come back.

    This apartment is lovely- spacious and comfortable. It's a great plus to have bedrooms on separate floors. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and every room was very clean. The welcome items were a very thoughtful touch, and made our first day easier.It is about a 25-30 min walk to the historic center, and pleasant if you take the local access roads vs walking on the main roadway, which is quite busy. There is a mini mart 5 mins away where you can really do all your food shopping, and the Continente is only a 10 min walk away (like a Target in the US). The house manager/keeper was always responsive when we had a question or needed something, as was the owner. We loved it here and would happily stay again!

    Beautiful modern high standard duplex flat , clean ,light and airy, very comfy beds, lovely cotton bedding, has everything you might need for a great holiday .Complex is very clean,and well maintained, large pool and a great location, easy to walk into Tavira ,only 4 mins to local mini supermarket.35 mins from Faro by car . If driving and using sat nav, input urbanisation Tavira Gardens. Already planning a return visit . Thank you Anne, we had a fantastic time.

    Excelent apartement to relax with your family or friends, with spacious and comfortable rooms. The house is fully equipped, including the kitchen, allowing you to prepare any type of meal. Air conditioning, cable TV and fast internet are also available, which we loved. Calm and quiet place, with no fuss at all. The proximity to the supermarket is very convenient, as is the snack bar. We have established a very comfortable space to explore the entire surrounding region. In short, a wonderful stay that the whole family loved. Definitely a place we would like to return to. An extra thanks for the friendly reception and the welcome wine.

    We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was really spacious and very well decorated and furnished - modern and very comfortable. We had everything we needed from a well-stocked kitchen to a great TV with Netflix. Tavira Garden was beautiful and we used the pools every day. We were a 25 minute walk away from Tavira centre but we broke the walk up with a visit to the shopping centre. Uber also cost about €3. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

    The condo is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. The pools were very nice and we really enjoyed them. It’s a bit of walk into Tavira, but worth it for a quiet place when you have kids, and for the swimming pools in hot weather. We also really liked the little poolside restaurant and the staff were great.
