Swanky Loft at Balboa Park

My boyfriend and I had a great time, cozy and cute.

The aircraft noise was significant and every 3 minutes until 10:50 pm and started again at 4:55 am. There is no soundproofing in the ceiling or the windows, so it was just too much for us, the other person with me slept with a pillow on their head.This is noted at the very bottom of the amenities. The unit itself is absolutely fine otherwise.

The loft was just as described. Very nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. There was airplane noise but it really did stop around 11. It didn’t bother my husband or I at all. We had one issue getting AC to work but Kelly was quick with a response on what to do, totally us not the system . Parking on street right outside door with no problem and walking to certain places was easy enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Centrally located so were able to walk to balboa park and Gaslamp district. 6th street parking is not free and has a 2 hour limit. 2 of the parking meters in the front of the building were broke so we just parked there. Bathroom has no counter space. We liked the planes flying overhead and the fact that we were the only people in the building at night.

The location and host were excellent. Would 100% stay again!

My second visit to this lovely well-located loft but not my last

A solid loft, but a bit awkward that the place is intermixed with businesses. Parking on the street is fine, but be aware that cars have to be moved after 8 AM off of sixth Avenue. Be aware that there is substantial flight noise in the loft. There isn’t sufficient sound proofing for the place, so be prepared to hear planes. The host has ear plugs, but I feel that’s a band aid fix. Sad that I visited a CVS a block away and the planes could barely be heard.

Our host were great & easy to contact. The loft is absolutely lovely, beautifully decorated & clean. Balboa Park is literally across the street & this loft is conveniently located near several nice restaurants.

Great stay in a superb location. The hosts communication was above and beyond and the location next to Balboa Park was amazing. It was only a few minutes from the Gaslamp District

Our hosts were welcoming and attentive to the needs of their travelers, the loft was very clean, the location would meet the needs of most visitors to the area, and the decor was an amazing mid-century modern trip into the past. We are very pleased we chose to stay here!

Great Stay!

Loft as advertised, great location, walk to the zoo, waterfront, little Italy. as stated in the description there is plane noise as the location is in a landing flight path but after a couple passes it is just street noise(nothing at night)We had a great stay, recommended!

The bed was amazing..so comfortable

Everything was great and the host was timely with all communications.

Great space and location. Walk to Balboa Park, Little Italy, waterfront as well as neighborhood spots. But not as congested as downtown. William and Kelly were responsive, clear and helpful. Hope to stay again sometime.

This loft space was very cool and the owners were lovely to work with. It was very close to everything we needed and was a comfortable place to stay. I know a few other people already mentioned the biggest downside - the airplanes. Although there are mixed reviews about how disruptive being in the flight path for the airport is, we found it very distracting. They are quite loud and fly very low over the neighborhood. The other problem we had is the window covering ms are too sheer to block out any light. While this may be fine for early risers or sound sleepers, it was a little hard for us with the street lights at night and bright daylight in the morning.

It was great.

Everything from booking to check out was seamless. We were in town for for college move-in and this was a perfect location to call homebase for a few nights. I would definitely book this location again.

Great stay cute loft in a great location. Would definitely come up and stay again for a couple more days to see more of San Diego.

Nice place to stay. Easy access to downtown via a Lyft or uber. Planes flying over a lot but once you get used to it, it’s really not that bad.

My daughter and I stayed here during our short stay in San Diego. Check in was easy and smooth and location looked as pictures presented. The location was walking distance to Balboa Park which was perfect considering that was the main reason we were in town. We had read online that other people noted the plane noise was distracting. It definitely was and the location is in a business hallway, so sleeping in wasn’t great as you could hear everyone clomping down the hall and chatting. A great location but maybe not for the light sleepers or those who wish to sleep in.

The loft was spacious and comfortable. It was perfect for relaxing after socialising and being in public. There is an entrance to the building on the fit floor and I felt completely safe the entire time. No direct street access from the loft gives you a secure feel. I look forward to staying here agin next year!

Clean and wonderful studio loft. In walking distance to all the good stuff in the city.

Good, central location near airport. Bring your own corkscrew, can opener & knife. Eating utensils only.Curb-chock your tires when parking or you'll get a ticket.Dont plan on using the TV. Pixelated reception.

One large room with clean hardwood floors, easy enough to get in/out. Parking was simple. Neighborhood good/safe and walkable. Would stay again.

We were happy with the unit. When staying here you should be aware there will be a lot of noise from being under the flight path for planes landing at SD Airport... Like every minute until late in the evening.
