Superb character duplex in the European district

I throughly recommend this Apartment - it is situated just a 5 minute walk from the Brussels/Lux train station which is ideal for catching the train to the city centre, just €2.5, Bruges and the airport. There are plenty of late night shops and restaurants close by. It was well equipped and very comfortable - we enjoyed the Sunday Market in the square nearby, again plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy. Parking was 5 min away, underground and very secure. Communication with the owner was great - she speaks perfect English- if I return to Brussels I will stay here We were 6 adults and had plenty of room - we utilised the upstairs room for which there was an extra charge but it was worth it for us Apartments was lovely and warm we were there for the Christmas markets so it was mid winter!

The architecture and details in the appartement are amazing. Location at 5 min from train station Bruxelles Luxembourg. Kitchen well equiped. Dining room is large for a big group of 8 persons. Very clean and beds are comfortable. There is no conditioning air and if you have high temperature in the summer, it may be very hot. The additional room has no possibility to open windows and may be very hot. However, we were lucky and temperature was correct. But it's an important point to consider during summer period. Communication with host is amazing, quick and very helpful to have great time! Many thanks for your warm hospitality!

Proprietor was ver friendly and responsive. Property was nice but could use a few upgrades. Beds were not that comfortable, minor issues with parking, washing machine. Location was good, and the home has great character.

This is a very old house that is kinda cool. There are no shower supplies so make sure to bring your own, the bathroom was in the basement so please think about this if there are any issues with stairs. Also, it’s awesome to have a washing machine.. just know it is down a really step flight in the basement. It was not easy to get a response back about a questions. It was clean, but could use a good cleaning of cob webs.

Our stay was unfortunately disappointing due to several significant issues:Unexpected Off-Platform Charges: We booked and paid in full on Vrbo for a group of exactly 8 guests. However, the host demanded an additional cash payment outside of the platform for our use of the third bedroom. Any pricing adjustments for group size or room usage should be handled transparently through Vrbo at the time of booking, not requested in cash after the fact.Inadequate Facilities: The property only has one bathroom shared across three floors, which is highly inconvenient for a group of 8 people.Incomplete Check-in: The WiFi password was not provided in the check-in instructions. Because we arrived late and the host was asleep, we were unable to get the password and had no internet access until the next morning.Overall, due to the unexpected cash demands and the property's layout, this was not a pleasant experience and we cannot recommend it.

Caroline was amazing, she assisted in attempting to retrieve my lost wallet which I really appreciated. The apartment is fantastic, really elegant. We did not lack for anything.

We had a lovely time, thank you to Caroline and Fabrice for hosting us! Our toddler loved the size of the apartment, its open plan and had lots of room for him to run around playing! It was also 2 minutes walk from the natural science museum that had a dinosaur exhibit which was a great activity for us. The location was excellent as it was also really close to the suburban rail station and the metro station so it was really easy to get around everywhere we wanted! But also walking distance to a lot of places too, there was an excellent beer shop a few minutes away (beer mania) that my husband enjoyed! We’d love to come back!

The apartment had everything we needed. It was super clean with comfortable beds. Great communication from the host led to a very smooth check-in. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Apartment was great, central and easy to get into. Could’ve used another face cloth and a cloth in the kitchen to wipe the counter but otherwise it was very comfortable and well maintained. We had a lovely visit, host was so kind and helpful whenever we had questions. Would stay again :)

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment very much. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The owner was very good at communicating. The apartment was a quick walk to the Brussels Luxembourg train station, which was easy to navigate to get to Brussels Centraal and the other stations.

A spacious character home, by the EU buildings. Walkable neighbourhood. Reasonable cost to park car, just remember to have cash to pay for it.

The apartment was gorgeous and spacious. After touring and having dinner in Brussels, we relaxed in the private patio area. The host, Caroline, explained how to access the parking garage which is conveniently close to the apartment. We wish that we could have stayed longer.

It was as described and other than Wi-Fi being hit or miss at different locations on residence enjoyed our stay.

The location was wonderful. The apartment was lovely, but there was a lot of confusion regarding check in and the owner failed to respond to my email in a timely manner. Would I stay there again? Maybe

The apartment was very close to the centre and walkable to most tourist spots. It had 2 large bedrooms a large kitchen ( unfortunately the dishwasher was not useable during our stay) . A large dining area a beautiful lounge. There was a small patio which would be perfect when you have good weather. Just one bathroom toilet. The only issue we had was a bad smell that comes thru the house but easily solved when Caroline was contacted. The washing machine and dryer was in the basement and used by other tenants in the apartment and most of the time clothes were not cleared . All in all we had a lovely stay and the parking outside the house after 7:00 pm. cost only 50 cents until the following morning until 9:00 am

We had a lovely one night stay. The neighborhood is safe and convenient.

The location of this property is fantastic! These may be common challenges with the age of the property but cleanliness and comfort were real issues. There were spiders and spiderwebs all over, especially in the basement. We killed a plethora of spiders before we could go to bed. The floors are dirty and we had to wear socks or our feet were dirty. There are no screens (Europe issue) so lots of mosquitos, bees, flies and moths came in when we opened windows (no AC and very stuffy and bad moldy smell in basement from bathroom and not very clean towels or bedding). Pillows missing pillow cases and no top sheet to keep you from not fresh comforters. When we came we were told not to use the single bed because it’s uncomfortable. Very true! The queen bed in the basement is more of a double so my husband took the thin cushion from the single bed and had to sleep on the ground upstairs (too dirty in basement) because the bed didn’t fit 2 adults comfortably. Definitely would not sleep 9 comfortably. We only had 4 and son had to use the couch. Only one toilet and shower in the basement. Stairs very loud. Every time someone had to use the toilet it would wake people up. The washer and dryer are shared and can have long waits. Dryer takes up to 3.5 hours and washer is 1-2.5 hours (both small). We were up at midnight doing laundry and still had to hang things to dry properly. The only comfortable furniture in the house was the couch. The rest was very old and felt stiff and fragile.

We loved our stay here. Beautifully decorated and in a great neighborhood. Caroline was easy to work with and was attentive to our needs. We were able to drop off our luggage early before check in so we didn’t have to carry it around with us - amazing! Would highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this lovely duplex in Brussels. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, and the host was incredibly helpful in securing parking for our van. There was a bit of initial confusion—we had expected three private bedrooms within the main apartment not counting the sleep Sofa, but the third was located upstairs and required a small additional fee. In the end, everything worked out wonderfully, and the space suited our needs. The location was also perfect, with the Tootbus hop-on hop-off stop just a short walk away. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the flat. We arrived at separate times due to flts, I checked in first at a prearranged time with Christine. Since I read the full listing I was aware of the tax and the additional cost of the third room and person and through my correspondence arranged the additional payment upon arrival. The set-up is unique, and suited us. As the early riser I stayed in the room next to the kitchen since I would be the one making coffee first, my sister arrived last and stayed downstairs. My adult nephew stayed in the extra bedroom, up the stairs from the flat. We had a slight screw up when we accidentally locked ourselves out, Christine was responsive and saved us within a very reasonable timeframe. We were very thankful. The area was quiet and woke up to birds singing. That said also walking distance from all the upper level sights and very close to transport. We stumbled upon a lively area with many restaurants including one serving moules, was very fun. We also followed some local recommendations, which we enjoyed.

We had a great stay. Communication with the host prior to arrival was excellent, and they were very helpful. Pictures were very accurate, and the building was clean and secure. Location was outstanding, and it was within walking distance to everything we were looking for (shops, restaurants, sites, etc). Internet was high speed and reliable

If you want a charming, traditional European row house you got it.Beds are full size, and quite creaky. Not a big deal, just be aware that they are not premium beds or bedding. House was very clean.Be sure to ask for shampoo and soap upon checking in, we didn’t have any. Also the laundry in the listing is actually shared laundry in the basement. We couldn’t use it because it was in use each time we tried.

Be careful with the number of rooms indicated!! Unfortunately, it is mentioned multiple times, and very prominently, that the property has three bedrooms, but this information is incorrect. You have to look in the fine print of the description to find out that the third one is optional. What a bad surprise upon arrival, and what a disappointment during discussions with the owner. Be careful!

We had a super experience with our host whose communication was excellent. We were a bit disappointed on check in to learn that the single bed was only really intended for children (whilst it was big enough for a small adult it wasn't all that comfy). The apartment was well cleaned and had some basics in the cupboard (eg coffee) but possibly due to the bathroom being in the basement it did have a slight smell of drains. Our host very kindly let us leave our bags in the apartment for a few hours after checkout time to allow us to do some last sightseeing.

Wonderful location. Quiet apartment. Hosts were friendly and communicative. They responded quickly when we had a question. Well stocked and beautiful little back yard garden. Washer/dryer are shared with other guests and if you desire all three bedrooms be sure to read into the listing further as the extra bed/bath are upstairs and require extra fee. This was a little confusing for us at first. So close to trains and buses and metro. We loved our stay here!!

It was a beautiful house, well equipped to meet our needs. Caroline was very accommodating and gave us detailed instructions to orientate with our surrounds in a new city. We had 3 generations staying in this house and we all were satisfied.

Very nice location next to the EU parliament, and a very short ride or 30 min walk to the city center. Host was magnificent and the place was immaculate.

Property manager is very kind and helpful when we connected. Their home is wonderful and we had a great stay and would stay there again. However the message app on vrbo seems to a little delayed in communication

Stayed one night and wish I had stayed longer. House is gorgeous. Clean and modern kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable couch in a beautiful room. Private outdoor space was picturesque. Location was walkable and the natural history museum is at the end of the street. Would be a great house for families. My husband and I stayed with our two adult sons and were more than comfortable. Check in was easy and host met us at door and welcomed us in, showing us around and giving local recommendations.

A quaint historical flat in a location close to plenty of restaurants, bars, and Brussels historical sights. We met Caroline when we arrived, and she was very nice and helpful. The apartment was very quiet, and has a lovely private garden out back where we enjoyed our morning coffee (with the large Belgian slugs that like to visit!). The kitchen is well-appointed and had everything we needed, and it was great to have access to laundry facilities in the basement. Beds were fine, but pillows were pretty thin/uncomfortable (which we found pretty much throughout Europe). We loved the character of the place, but there are just a few things to know: 1) the only bathroom in down the (very) creaky stairs, although it is a very nice bathroom; 2) you only have one key, and the key must be used to lock from both the inside and outside - this meant that when my spouse and I went for a walk, we had to lock our son inside the flat (while he slept), and he had no way to get out while we were gone!; 3) probably not usually an issue, but we were there during a few hot Belgian days, and there are no opening windows in the main floor bedroom, and almost no air flow - so it was very sticky trying to sleep the first night or two.

Excellently equipped accommodation in a quiet residential area. Good connections to public transport. Parking facilities for a reasonable price. Invites as a base to explore Brussels or a staycation. Friendly hostess. This address is worth repeating.

The property is just as listing. Quiet and has all the amenities. We were able to walk everywhere. We loved the location as it is very close to a grocery store and restaurants, plus the walk to the train station is only 20-30 minutes.

This home was fabulous! Seriously, the whole stay from check-in to check-out was perfect. Clean, spacious, great location, laundry and the patio was wonderful with walkable shopping and restaurants. Grand Place was a short Uber away. Would 100% recommend!

We stayed at the property for 4 nights and had a fantastic stay. The apartment was great and due to it being so close to the train station, we were also able to explore Brussels and Ghent. Lots of bars and restaurants close by too. We would stay again.

I had booked this a year in advance and asked about securing the third room for our party (mostly for the second bathroom). I was unclear about the layout and asked about that as well. After a year of periodic messaging and not receiving any response, I finally confirmed the third room right before our arrival. After all of that, the third room was locked upon our arrival therefore necessitating the use of the sofa bed (which there were no linens), and we did not have access to the extra bathroom. This was resolved by the next day. The layout should be clarified. This is a shared space. There are several floors with several rooms. This space is located inside the front door, and on that level, there is a quaint living room, nice kitchen, bedroom, and great outdoor space. From there, down a winding staircase, is a bedroom and bath / shower. The third room is through the front door and up the stairs. This room includes a bedroom / toilet room. It is a separate space. The washer and dryer are in the basement, which appeared to be a shared space. The dryer was stuffed with damp towels and there were piles of linens, that I was not sure if they were clean or not, when I was trying to locate linens for the sofa bed. I really liked the location, and overall, the apartment was nice. I did not feel that the communication was good and feel that the listing should be clearer in explaining the layout, especially if there are mobility issues for guests or families with young children.

The house is beautiful, spacious, airy and with high ceilings. Well equipped kitchen. Pleasant internal garden. There is the possibility of parking in the owner's garage. The location is next to the European Parliament. It is possible to walk to the historic center on foot, even though it is a bit far. The route is beautiful and interesting. The owner is attentive and helpful, and communication is quick and efficient. I highly recommend this rental!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this accommodations in Brussels. The home was very close to the parliament building and within walking distance of the palace. There were many restaurants and supermarkets also within walking distance. The home was well equipped to be able to make some dinners at home. Our host was very kind and helpful and she communicated with us throughout the process. We would highly recommend this home to anyone.

A lovely well equipped home from home, a very nice outdoor space in the back garden, around the corner from the EU headquarters and Luxembourg Sq where there are several restaurants also stop # 17 on the hop on hop off bus. would be happy to stay here again
