Sunny ap. with pool for 2 people (+2 young) right on the sea in a prime location

There were ants in the kitchen drawers and seemed to appear from nowhere if you brought out food. There was a bit of a walk to the nearest shop, up and down hills. Not ideal for carrying things like water etc. We had to get taxis everywhere. Not great for anybody with mobility issues. On the plus side, you are right beside the beach which has places to eat, canoes, sun loungers and even a masseuse (all at an extra cost). The place was clean enough but could do with some maintenance such as towel rail fixing to the wall properly for example. Sandra was lovely and very friendly and spoke brilliant English. She works very hard, that much is obvious. On the surface it was fine. There are 4/5 maybe more apartments inside a secure compound with parking for your car (if you have 1) and you can only get in with a key or a fob. So you feel safe at night. The 2 bed apartment we rented was very small with 1 room having a double bed and the other having bunk beds in quite a tiny room.

We loved our place the view was unforgettable Nd there were 4 restaurants on the beach.You could walk to town in 15 min and there were so many hiking trails in the area.There are 52 stairs to beach fine going down but not great for someone who has trouble walking.Our apt had a queen bed and a set of bunk beds,itwas fine for us but I thought two bedrooms with beds.The pullout is kind of small but fine for some. We stayed 3 weeks and if I go back to Portugal this would be where I would deff go.The owner has an apt there and there are 2 other one bedrooms plus a lovely 3 bedroom 2 bath so something for everyone.I love Sandra the housekeeper ,she speaks excellent English and was so helpful.Thank you Maria for a wonderful vacation.I forgot to mention the lovely pool area with spectacular view of the ocean.

We had a wonderful time - the location is the best in town- steps from the beach. The property was more then we could have hoped for- the apartment had everything you need, very clean and the laundry facilities were a great addition after traveling for a week. The pool and pool area were clean, spacious, had a shower, umbrellas, and an incredible view of the beach and sea! Maria and her housekeeper Sandra were gracious and helpful in the pre- arrival and during the stay. My kids (and us) did not want to leave! Thank you Maria- we hope to be back one day!

Superb location? couldn't ask for better. The house we stayed in was very good, very comfy with all the facilities. The only thing I have to point it out negatively it was the cleanliness I had to do a bit of cleaning myself in the kitchen and bathroom before use. Swimming pool a bit of lacking of privacy between paying guests and the owners, all share the same swimming pool. Overall it was a very good stay. Be aware if not arrived at the time discussed you will be charged, which is not mentioned when booking.

The apartment was perfect for what we needed! Great appliances, clean, fresh bedding, lovely swimming pool and sunbathing locations and 2 mins from the beach! Will be coming back!

We had a fantastic time, the location is perfect, the accommodation was perfect, the pool and the terrace stunning, with views across the bay and the beach. This really is a fantastic place to stay. We should also say the hosts, Maria and Sandra were on hand, extremely friendly and fun to be around. We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. One week whizzed by and we left rested, sun tanned and heavier due to the local food. Brilliant time. Andy and Diane Melrose

This Vila has everything what you want. A great swimming pool (with a fantastic view), next to the beach with a few strand bars/ restaurants. Thank you Sandra & Maria for the great week we, inclusive our little daughter, had. We will come back definitely!
