Stayed Oct 2, 2023The apartment had plenty of room for 4 adults, the space was updated and comfortable. We found that the apartment needed cleaning, and some basic necessities. Two of the bedrooms had no side tables. There were not enough clothes hangers, so we did purchase some and left them there. Also the bathrooms were lacking hooks for towels and somewhere to keep your soap and shampoo in the showers. A larger espresso pot and some more espresso cups would of been helpful. I would suggest leaving instructions for the lobby and stairway lights, when coming in after dark. Parking on the street was always available, and the daily market in the small piazza near the apartment was most welcome. Communication from the host was responsive and timely.

Stayed Jun 10, 2022We loved our stay in this nicely appointed apartment in central Giarre. The furniture is lovely and seems brand new. The rooms spacious, at least by Italian standards, and there are two balconies with beautiful views. The bathrooms are both just as modern as the pictures show, with unusually large showers and more space than in any other Italian bathrooms we have used The kitchen is appropriately stocked and we were able to make several meals in it, using food we bought within a few blocks. In particular, we were pleased with a produce stand that sets up in the morning (6 days a week) a half block away. There are also butcher shops, bakeries, and grocery stores an easy walk from the apartment and a supermarket that is nearly American a very short drive away. Speaking of which, we never had trouble parking on the street outside the apartment, not a given in Italy! We were in town mostly to visit family, we found the location great for sightseeing, too. Short drives to beach and mountain, easy access to the autostrada (tollway) and so just minutes from Taormina, Acireale, and Catania. Easy drives to Syracuse, Piazza Amerina, and other nearby attractions. You will pay more for much less to stay at any of these places; we checked! The hosts were attentive and so helpful. Giovanni, Irene, and especially Vanna were responsive, helpful, and so friendly. We would stay here, or any place this team manages, again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The apartment has, in addition to a good location, a perfect room layout for several people. It was extremely clean and tidy. Half of our time there, the apartment was even cleaned. The owner and management were available day and night to answer any questions or concerns and acted promptly. We would book the apartment or another property of Giovanni immediately again. We are more than satisfied and can only recommend it! Thank you very much for this unforgettable time!

Stayed Aug 6, 2020This is a recently renovated apartment, which is immaculately clean and easy to stay in. The two large terraces are a bonus. It could use a few finishing touches, such as coffee tables, nightstands, etc., and furniture on the terraces. But notably, we were among the first guests in the apartment (post-quarantine) and so probably some of these things have been delayed. The property managers are very kind and accommodating, and willing to help out when we had questions.
