The property was nice and condo 2602 had a spectacular view of the mountains.The sunrise and sunset topedit all. We enjoyed.our stay we will definitely stay again.

Great stay, convenient location, beautiful view, quiet slumber and easy to get to the slopes.

The host sent very detailed instructions and left no room for confusion. Also sent a very friendly message at the end of the trip. I didn’t need to reach out for anything because everything was explained very well at the beginning. However, if I needed to reach out, I truly believe it would’ve been handled quickly and efficiently. The place was lovely and it is clear the host takes pride in the condo. The view was absolutely stunning.

Views were great. Poor lighting in the kitchen, under cabinet lights not working. Bedding appeared too not have been clean. No out by bed for CPAP Bathrooms need lots of attention. Caulking around tubs need replaced. Wal covering as well. (Peeling off). Carpet is dated and dirty. Lastly, I came away Bug bites all over my body, my Dr and I are treating it as bedbug bites.

The view was amazing! A quiet, safe and enjoyable place to stay. Close proximity to Grandfather Mountain and Alpine Coaster. We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely outstanding the place is so cozy and cute , everything worked properly , very clean and very unique . Jacuzzi definitely was a must and the pool wa so clean ! The view though was just FORMIDABLE ! Definitely will come back ! Thank you so so much

We got iced in by a storm and had to find a new condo to stay. Lobat was very helpful and got us in very quickly. Condo was super clean and very comfortable. It may have been 5 degrees outside but nice and toasty inside. We had games to play and plenty to watch on tv. My wife and daughters loved it. Our next trip back to Sugar Mountain we will stay here again.

Beautiful view. Needs deep cleaning on flooring. King mattress uncomfortable with springs poking through and no padding. Furnishings acceptable but place is run down.

The apartment was dated but very clean and well accommodated. The views were beautiful. The communication with the host was good.

The only good thing about this property was the view and location! The rest was the pits...This property NEEDS SERIOUS updating, everything was old, outdated, uncomfortable beds, the showers were good only if you are under 5 feet tall. Just awful, should have stayed in one of the local motels. Spent as little time in the condo as possible. Extremely disappointed!!!

Nice place. Bathrooms need a little work but overall we had a great time.

It is dated and needs some basic maintenance and beautification. Master bathroom appears to have new sink faucet and towel hangers but no sink drain stopper. Wallpaper near shower is peeling. Baseboards and tub surround need painting and/or replacement. Toilet does not flush hard enough to remove toilet paper without repeated flushing. One cabinet door severely damaged by bathroom heater.Primary frypan in kitchen is warped and non-stick coating is useless, even when using oil or non-stick spray. Dishwashing sponge in kitchen is in horrible condition. Neither kitchen sink drain stopper is of the correct size so guest cannot stop drain to fill sink with soapy water for washing or water for rinsing. There are no small or medium sized mixing bowls. Just tableware ‘cereal/soup’ bowls and one very large stainless steel bowl.Two ceiling fans have wall mounted speed changers and light dimmers, but you have to stand on the bed and pull a chain to change fan speeds in the master bedroom. Master bedroom closet had only one single clothes hanger.Windows and screens are in poor shape. Patio doors and room windows and screens are difficult to open and close and weather stripping is detached in many places.Deadlock at front door is somewhat misaligned making it difficult to open with key (and even to lock from inside) without manually pulling/pushing door into a non-visible better aligned position.Carpet near patio door is stained. Carpets need to be stretched in places.

I do wish it had air conditioner. It got very hot. Also the drive back and forth was not a pleasant for a 80 yr old person

Do not rent this property! This is a professional slumlord! This condo is falling apart. The paint on the ceiling is peeling off and falling down. The wallpapers are all curled up and peeling off. The carpet is 30 years old with dirty stains and disgusting. The tile floors have dirty grout dirty moldings sticky floors. There's no air conditioning. No air conditioning. The oven doesn't work. The dryer doesn't work. The fireplace doesn't work. The owners at cheap slumlord that is probably not wanted to fix a thing in this house in the last 30 years. And it's disgusting. They're also too cheap to leave anything like one and a half rolls of toilet paper for a family for 5 days. No cleaning supplies no laundry detergents no complimentary coffee. All the things you come to expect from a good quality host when renting unit. There are far better places to stay avoid this one like the plague. This owner should be removed from all platforms for being a slumlord.

Wonderful view

Loved the location. Our unit needed a lot of maintenance

Building and location is great. Condo was extremely old and dirty, smelly, and no A/C. I could deal with the no A/C part but the dirty floors, carpets, beat up baseboards, old paint, paint peeling off in areas, stinky kitchen, sinks, and refrigerator, I had a hard time dealing with. Kitchen stunk so bad! Carpets and tile/grout so dirty and sticky, thankfully I brought slippers, blankets, and towels. Showers had no curtain liner, only a cloth curtain, which contributes to the water damage around the tub. Better shower heads are also needed. Furniture was old. Bedspreads were old. It just felt dirty. Needs to be renovated in the worst way. I felt like I was at my grandmas house. Has potential tho. Hopefully owner renovates and does a deep clean. Get rid of the 1983 carpet, drapes, furniture, kitchen cabinets, nik naks, framed pictures, etc. Place needs a lot of bleach and TLC. Parking is at lower lots, must take shuttle or walk, not a big deal tho. Jeff the gate guy was so nice and so were all the other staff. Amazing views. Wouldn’t stay at this particular condo again unless renovations occur and is clean. WiFi worked great. We didn’t watch tv so not sure how the tvs were. A key pad on the door would also work better and more convenient than a traditional key. Indoor pool area is nice but smoldering. No air flow. Over powering smell of chlorine, 80 with no ventilation is not enjoyable. Other than that, loved the area and had a great time.

My husband and I have been renting this apartment for the second year. We are very grateful to the owner for the affordable rent price.

Nice and cozy condo with comfortable furniture and all appliances working as they should. Condo owner was very clear with instructions for checking in and responded quickly to questions. Would recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay while skiing at Sugar.

It was pretty clean, we just had a problem with the roof leaking but the owner was very responsive about it.

Second time staying here and is an absolute great place! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back next year!

Checking in was easy both at the gate for parking pass and at the lobby for check in. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend 4 wheel drive if visiting after snow or ice storm. We made it up the first night but slid several times due to ice (the sign at the bottom did say use 4WD). The shuttle service from parking lot to the building is a SUV worked fine for pickups and drop offs, we never had to wait more than 2 to 3 minutes. They have a pantry and bar on site for food and beverage purchases as well as a coffee machine. Uber will deliver as well.The facility pool and hot tubs were clean and there was ample space in both. Additionally the pool has a 6 foot deep end!The unit itself was very clean. They have everything you need to cook and make coffee. There are plenty of TV channels and the wifi worked great. The view from the balcony was amazing for sunrises and sunsets. The main shower was short, so if you are over 5'2/5'3ish you may have to duck to wash hair. Overall the stay was great and I would stay here again.

Impressive views!

The property is exactly as pictured and the owner communicates well! The unit was extremely clean. Only drawback was the parking and shuttle situation.

My family enjoyed our stay at Sugar Top. The resort is well managed and kept very clean especially given its age. During snow storms it can get a little hairy accessing/leaving the resort but the shuttle service did a great job assisting guests up and down the mountain to and from the resort. The fireplace could not be used but it didn’t bother my family too much.

Overall a fine place to stay, very convenient to the mountain, except for the afternoon / evening there was no running water in the entire building. Not the fault of our hosts, but nonetheless quite an inconvenience. Make sure you have snowtires on your vehicle!

The views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful!! The condo is very nice. The decor is a “aged”, however, everything is super nice and clean. The property staff are very helpful and courteous. We anticipate returning to Sugar Top Resort.
