Stylish & Unique Venice Beach Penthouse with Ocean Views + Free Parking

Great locationBetween Venice and Santa Monica Piers.. Inside clean and spacious. Especially good for larger family. Fantastic view of sunset and beach. Exceptional porch with grill, couch and many chairs, as well as propane fire table. Only concern for some is live music out front almost daily. I loved it, but some might not. Owner was very helpful.

This is a great property and as advertised. Joe, the owner, was responsive and very helpful. This listing is EXACTLY as described and the pictures are 100% accurate and current. Venice has a very specific vibe and energy, so if that is what you are looking for, this is your place. I was there with my two sons for the Bears vs Rams game this past weekend and we had a blast. The bar right next door was awesome too....outdoor seating, great live music, and great service/ownership.

As has been noted by others, the location of this property can't be beat. The view from the deck is amazing, you are right above a tremendous bar/restaurant, the boardwalk is just beneath you. But that is all you are paying for. The property is cheaply furnished and not in great condition or kept up well. The outside deck and entryway to the unit hasn't been cleaned in ages and is pretty filthy. It's a _lot_ of money for a run down place -- but we thought it was worth it for the view. Our main concern however was the used sex toy found under one of the beds along with lots of other trash which suggested that whoever is cleaning the inside of the place isn't being very thorough - in general, the surfaces and general condition of the inside appeared clean but no one needs to find what we found underneath the bed. As for safety, again as has been noted, it doesn't feel incredibly safe. As a group of four middle-aged men, it was fine; but I wouldn't let my daughters stay there. That's just Venice in that area - and we knew what we were getting into - but that should be understood by those who don't know the area. Joe, the contact, was a good communicator and got back to us quickly on the one question we had on arrival. All in all, it's about as good as you could ask for location-wise if you are looking for a house on the boardwalk.. But be aware that you won't be getting a $1250/nt experience when you are inside. And you may find some unwanted surprises.

A perfect stay for our family right on the Venice beach boardwalk! The location is amazing and the indoor and outdoor spaces are excellent. The patio is large and so fun with the fire table and colored lights. We had a blast and will love to come back.

This apartment is so well located! We loved people watching all afternoon. The drum circle in front of the building brings the full Venice vibe into the house! There are cafes and shops outside the door. And the beach is RIGHT THERE - wow! Tons of space with comfortable beds and living room furniture. Thanks for the easy details at arrival and departure.

Fantastic experience. The location of the property couldn’t be better. Beautiful view of the beach. Great bars and restaurants right near us. All the appliances worked. Big television in main room with cable tv. No issues with the WiFi. Large rooms. Joe the owner was super accessible and flexible. Got back to me immediately when I had questions prior to arriving and even during my stay. My friends and I are already thinking about when to plan our next trip. Just have to make sure Joe’s property is available Thanks again Joe for a great stay!!!!

Overall we enjoyed the property. I would make sure to read the description very well if you are renting with children because it is 100% accurate. We had two families with kids that were 19,15 and 14 and we had plenty of room. We loved the balcony where you can see the beach and ocean. We even saw dauphins on morning through binoculars. This condo is older and does not have central air or heat. The master bedroom and the front bedroom do have air conditioner units, but they do not really work. It's nice if you open the windows and door but the master bedroom is right next door to a restaurant and it is very loud first thing in the morning. One morning at 7:00 am they were loading up about 20 empty beer kegs and was extremely loud. Also in the mornings the master bedroom gets very hot and even with the windows and door open we really couldn't stay in there and be comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook breakfast each morning and dinner twice with no issues. The neighbor downstairs was amazing. He even signed our boys' skateboards for them. The contact answered questions and took care of everything we needed in a very timely manner. I wish we could have gotten a late check out but I understand that they had other guests checking in. Overall I would stay here again, but only if the air conditioner units were updated.

Property is 100% beach - house

We loved the idea of a summer family vacation on Venice beach with a rock star house and location. The location was great, right on the boardwalk just yards from the ocean. However, we took off one star for location and neighborhood because of the significant homeless population and ever present smell of marijuana. We understand the reason for the three secured doors. The property was large enough for our family of five. It was spacious and gave everyone room to enjoy their quiet time. I had hoped that the cleanliness would be better than the two stars we gave it. It was a tired property that needed to be renovated and deep cleaned - especially the wet areas. Yes, we're not staying in a five star resort; however, we did pay a significant housekeeping fee which set our expectations. The bathroom sink didn't work, toilet just kept running, paint chipped, molded caulk, blinds busted and the cable tv was out. I fixed the sink and toilet myself and the owner told me to call the cable company. His explanation, I don't live there, how do I know? As the owner, you should know everything. For the price, we had expectations of a cleaner, more updated and better maintained property. If you're looking for beach proximity only, this is your spot.
