The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Great location, in the heart of Stow on the Wold. Proximity to the church opposite meant that the church bells, which rang on the hour, were quite loud. Unfortunately, the place was compact and not the cosiest. It did not have any nice smells, was musty (had old diffusers that clearly hadn't been replaced in ages and were empty/had cobwebs). Cleanliness was not the best, the top of the upstairs was full of cobwebs, including in the lights and above the bathroom. The bathroom extractor fan was also full of dust. Bathroom was tired. Two of the roller blinds were broken. Wouldn't return but was ok for what we wanted.

At first glance, the apartment looked clean, but upon closer inspection, this was anything but true. The kitchen cabinets were dirty, and both bathroom windows were filthy. Clouds of dust lay under the bed. We also found both mattresses very uncomfortable.

Great Location right in the centre of Stow on the Wold just perfect for touring The Cotswolds.Apartment was cleaning and had everything needed for our week stay also in walking distant to lots of local Pubs which all served meals. On street parking which was nearby although 2 hour limited between 9am-6pm this never cause us a problem. Some people have commented on the Church Bells ring on the hour through the night, this never caused us any issues Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location in the Cotswalds, the village is not too big or too small, offering a good selection of cafes, restaurants and bakeries. Parking is generally not a probably, although weekends can be a little challenging during the day before the day trippers disappear. A notebook for guests to add comments/problems in would be handy. e.g. a couple of window latches were very loose and close to breaking. The rubbish bin lid was broken. Other than those comments everything was perfect.

The apartment was lovely, well appointed, great location. More mirrors are needed in the bedrooms The sofa is extremely low and uncomfortable The location of the key safe hanging behind very full and smelly bins was both difficult to access and unpleasant. It would have been easy to drop the keys behind the bins.

Great location for visitng the Cotswolds, parking could be an issue during the busier monthes, we managed to park at top of Back Walls most nights which is only a 5 minute walk, a bit annoying if carrying bags/shopping etc.Blind in front bedroom needs fixed as does the extractor fan in the bathroom. A very well equipped apartment and nicely furnished. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend you stay in the bedroom to the rear of the property as the church bells across the road are very loud and ring every hour(even during the night)

The apartment is in a fantastic spot right off the market square in Stow on the Wold and is brilliantly located for visiting the Cotswolds. The apartment is well furnished and is quite homely. We were happy with the apartment. There is however a but to the review. 1. The church is immediately opposite the apartment as the name suggests. What we hadn’t realised was that the church bells ring on the hour every hour through the whole night. This will be like marmite, you’ll love it or hate it. We were up most nights.

Lovely apartment in the perfect location, overlooking the beautiful church, positioned within the centre a few steps always from pubs and shops. Parking in the centre wasn’t a problem for us. To have some outdoor space was great especially as it was a very sunny week so it was nice to be able to sit outside at times. Just a few things minor things that would make this apartment even better, a parasol for outside as some days it was far to hot to sit in the sun (we caught the heatwave) and the garden has no shade during the day, we were unable to locate a hoover, just a small dustpan and brush and staying for a full week with a dog we would have definitely have given it a quick hoover a few days to keep things clean/tidy. Two sets of keys would be a good idea especially if there are two couples staying in the apartment as this would make it difficult if both couples when out separately. Overall though we had a lovely week and I would recommend Church view apartment.

We had a wonderful short break and the apartments location was absolutely perfect. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed to make the most of our time. Really special staying so central and to be able to see the church in the evenings and pop out for food. We will definately stay again! X
