The apartment is well equipped, stylish and very comfortable. The location near the Wall, Piazza San Frediano, and Via Fillungo is very convenient to shops, restaurants, bars and the main historic monuments. Contact with Manuel from Lucca Apartments and Villas before arrival and during my 4 week stay was excellent. Check in process was efficient and welcoming with Christina. I would definitely stay in the apartment again. Thank you for my wonderful stay.

We had an amazing stay, the apartment was lovely and the host was lovely too. We will definitely return to Lucca and hopefully be lucky enough to stay in the apartment again.

We loved the location and amenities of this apartment. Our concierge, Manuel, is superb! The other neighbors in the building are wonderful. The apartment is quiet and the kitchen is beautifully appointed. The freezer doesn’t work, the oven had not been cleaned but cleaners were sent over immediately once we alerted our concierge to the problem, and the bed is very hard - a soft mattress topper would make it much more comfortable. Everything else is perfect and we would stay there again!

The ground apartment was perfect for two persons. The only minor criticism is, there are no doors from the lounge/kitchen /diner, to the anti room and bedroom. The only door was on the bathroom. This did not cause us any issues, but for a couple it is perfect.

The location of this apartment could not be improved... steps to the ancient walls, next to the Basilica of San Frediano, around the corner from a large piazza with two stellar cafes, adjacent to a beautiful garden in the back of the apartment, and on a main pedestrian thoroughfare that will take to all key sites and restaurants within the medieval walls. The apartment is spacious and well appointed with plenty of room to spread out. The floors, slipcovers and bedding needed more cleaning attention, and the two air conditioning units require repairs (they circulated the air in the apartment but did not cool it despite using the snowflake setting and punching 19-20 degrees. That having been said we would gladly return to the 1400s Apartment because the benefits far outweigh these issues.

Lucca is such a wonderful city. The apartment is in a great location. My wife and I are elderly and appreciated the easy access to the wall and the shops and the restaurants. Manuel was very helpful. Met us and checked us in and was only a text away if we had questions. The apartment was large and since we stayed for a while, that helped. The kitchen is well supplied with everything needed to cook. And the washer/dryer was very convenient.

The “Stylish Smart Ground Floor Apartment, a welcoming spacious flat, with creamy masonry walls and rustic beamed ceilings, is cozy and embracing with a curated sense that feels lived-in rather than stuffy. While it has well preserved historic details and is filled with period Tuscan furnishings, this apartment is functionally up to date with robust Internet, a well-arrayed kitchen and a modern bathroom with a larger than average shower and abundant hot water. There is also an efficient high-tech washer/dryer as well as robust WiFi Internet access for all one’s streaming needs. Additionally, there is a separate parlor, between the bathroom and bedroom, which we used as a dressing room as well as a place to store our luggage. Although the flat is located on the ground floor, (always a positive when traveling with heavy luggage), it is very quiet and secure, slightly above street level, accessed from a locked and covered private courtyard. It is literally steps away from the church of San Frediano and its eponymous piazza, with it’s cafés and shops, as well as Via Fillungo, one of the main shopping street of Lucca . Our host, Chiara, was professional, communicative and responsive throughout the process. She arrived punctually at the check-in time, gave us a detailed tour of the apartment and provided an operations binder with pertinent information as well as excellent dining and tourist information to ensure that we would get the most out of our visit to this lovely city. We will certainly return to “The Stylish Smart Ground Floor Apartment” on our next visit to Lucca and we would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting this charming city.

We stayed for three and a half weeks and would stay again. For two people the layout is perfect with the ample lounge dining space leading to a salon then the bedroom with a nice firm queen size bed. It had all we needed for cooking and living with plenty of utensils. It is perfectly located in a quiet (no noise at night) street but handy for all the piazzas, restaurants and sites. It’s very secure and quiet day and night. Taking the car is the only issue. The recommended car park is a bit of a trek with all of your luggage in the heat and I discovered by chance that you could get a pass for a month for €50. A little help for drivers would save some hassle. Strongly recommend this beautiful apartment.
