Beautiful building and apartment

We did not stay long enough to take advantage of the locale. Decor was great, music availability💜, very very clean, personal touches were lovely. I’d stay again for sure.

The hosts were great! Their place is beautiful and I loved the music themed aspect of the apartment. Also, the greeting sign and the chocolate they left for us was so nice! Made me feel like very welcome and right at home. Over all, the area is quiet but it is a downstairs apartment so you may hear walking above or up and down the stairs but nothing extensive. We were able to walk to places to eat and we felt safe. They have a guide book of local places to eat, a lot within walking distance on their dining room table, which was so helpful. I recommend Kuma's Corner, it was delicious with food that had a little bit of a kick. The location is great as well. A short Uber ride got us into town and back no problem. Over all, I highly recommend this place. It was cool with A/C units and was very comfortable. The bed in the front bedroom was so comfortable! I slept very well. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!!

This home was amazing! Loved the classic greystone and the time Tom and Angie took to leave information about it! Loved the music theme thru out the whole house! Plenty of space and great place to stay with our two small dogs. Would definitely recommend and if we're ever in town in the future i would definitely stay again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Well this was the first time I have ever used VRBO and I was very pleased with the whole process. The property was perfect for what we wanted and the hosts were very accommodating. Communication from the start was clear and informative. When we arrived we found a nice sign welcoming us along with some snacks, a guest book, and a binder with a lot of information about the area. The property was very clean and comfortable with all the extras we could want. The neighborhood was really quiet, and while I am not a big city guy, the area had a certain charm to it. Checking in and out was a snap and the host were very responsive to our messages. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone else needing a dog friendly place to stay.

The temperature outside was 9 degrees but when we arrived at the apartment it was 72 degrees inside. The house is charming and rustic. The neighborhood is walkable. Our dogs really enjoy playing in the snow and walking around the neighborhood.

The towels were fresh and new, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed—making it easy to enjoy home-cooked meals. The owners were incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. This rental truly had all the comforts of home and made our stay in Chicago more than perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for a weekend trip to catch a game at Wrigley. Location was great and neighborhood was wonderful, very safe and well lit at night. Property was perfect, clean and well equipped. I would highly recommend this place!

Only stayed 2 nights. Nice place for my short stay.

If we go to Chicago again, we will definitely stay at this property in the Avondale neighborhood. Tom and Angie left a nice binder to use if needed to access a grocery store or local restaurant. The bus stop is VERY close and goes directly to the blue line L train. We were able to get downtown to see all the sites. The home is beautiful and we all felt safe.

My family came and stayed a couple of nights while a couple of us were in town for Lollapalooza. We really loved the property plus the extras provided - games, movies, a record player, and even some popcorn! Those of us staying behind and not attending the festival were able to get around easily due to the convenient location and sitting on the porch by the garden in front of the house was just as nice.

It was a great place to stay

First stay in Chicago and was worried about staying in a safe neighborhood that had easy parking. This place nailed it! Very comfortable living space in this duplex. Peace of mind knowing the owners were right above should we need anything. Will stay here again if ever back in Chicago!

We had a great vacation stay at this apartment in Logan Square. There were some very nice restaurants and bars near by and the trip into the museums and botanical gardens was convenient. The hosts were very accommodating, reliable and communicative. Especially appreciated the coffee, tea, sugar, Brita water, etc that were provided (as well as the clear instructions for how to work appliances/doors). Thanks for a great stay!

Great place to stay in an awesome location

This host was very kind and understanding when we had a change of plans. His kindness was more than appreciated!

This place has so much historical charm and character. The place was spotless and fully stocked. The bus stop was only 400 ft away taking us directly to the airport train. We were able to get to Wrigley Field and downtown with the public transit 7day pass for 20. Bars, restaurants, convenience stores all within a 7 minute walk. The host had many recommendations. Wolfhound bar had the best hamburgers and homemade ketchup. We felt safe in this neighborhood walking at night. It was the perfect place for our first experience to Chicago. Would book again!

Clean, safe, excellent

Property was easy to access. Great place to relax and enjoy some peace. Loved the decor! Hosts were super friendly and it was easy to communicate with them. Fenced yard for our dogs was great!

The place was exactly as listed and not too far from downtown. We stayed for st. Patrick’s weekend and it was pretty easy to uber to and from. The place had everything we needed from cooking/kitchen supplies to bathroom supplies if we needed it. Plenty of towels/sheets. The beds were also extremely comfortable. Would recommend this neighborhood! No issues parking or finding the location. Tom was a great host!

We have been using rentals for 10 yrs. and without a doubt this is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in. There is a genuine feel of being at home with this rental. The owners thought of any and every need you could have, from multiple coffee choices to extra bed sheets & towels to books and games. They even have a record player, which I am a huge fan of the vinyl's. Check in was a breeze, neighborhood was easy to navigate very close to Downtown and the owners were there for any needs.

The property is accurately depicted. Love the music theme and great book collection! It is spacious and comfortable. Thank you for the supply of coffee pods too. The house was built in the late 1800’s and owners have kept the attributes of its beautiful design. Owner is very responsive and caring. Beds are a delight to sleep in.

Neighborhood is awesome and quiet, house is very welcoming and SO charming. Super cozy and comfortable. The hosts also went above and beyond to help us enjoy our 1st trip to Chicago. Would definitely return!

This place was awesome! My boyfriend and I came into town for the bears game and wanted something not too far from stadium. We also really loved coming back after the game and playing all the board games they had to offer. I highly recommend this place to all!

Tom’s place was perfect for us while we were visiting for the weekend during the marathon. Cozy, welcoming, and accommodating! Tom was a fantastic host who went out of his way to help us with some extra traveling needs, too. We will be back!

Had a really nice stay with friends here for the Cubs game/ birthday weekend. A nice neighborhood spot with a very cute bar at the end of the street. If you want to step into the street near bars and restaurants, this probably isn’t the place for you but is pretty walkable to most things if the weather is nice. Hosts were very attentive, even left an umbrella for us when it was raining and personalized our welcome. Thanks for the nice time!

So close to all the great neighborhoods on the North side! The home was just as described and our hosts were welcoming and responsive. Will definitely keep this in mind for future visits.

I was very impressed with this rental. Everything was clean, well (and tastefully) furnished, and well-located. The ease of parking and the location are also some huge positives. The record player was also a nice touch. It’s rare that I get to dig for records on a trip and not have to wait until I get home to enjoy. A+!

First impression was great. We walked in and the place was exactly the way it appeared in ad and then we seen the personalized touches welcoming all of us. The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of extra towels. We seen our hosts a few times and they were very pleasant and helpful.

The location was great--in between trendy Avondale and Logan Square. The place was quiet and comfortable. There was no road or other noise. It was a short walk to amazing coffee shops and restaurants, and about a one mile walk/drive/bus to the Blue Line. The apartment is stocked with basic spices and a nice little library with lots of rock and roll-themed books. Bonus: a medium sized collection of records and a record player. Hosts were amazing and responsive to all needs!

This was a great find for our four day stay. This was a very affordable option with many of the amenities we were looking for. The place is within walking distance to train, restaurants, and entertainment but also in a relatively quiet neighborhood. Street parking was free and readily available during our stay. Also, Tom stocked the place with all the coffee and little chocolates we could want which was a nice touch! Would definitely stay again.
