There are 4 exquisite apartments in this historic Grade II listed 16th Century Jodrell Arms building. Set on the approach to the village train station it is a perfect location for exploring local towns and countryside by train!
Entering through the beamed communal entrance hall, the Francis Suite (named after the Jodrell family) is a exclusive two bedroom apartment on the first floor, adjacent to the Edmund Suite, which overlooks the village train station with trains scheduled to Buxton and Manchester Piccadilly only.
The large open plan living area has comfy seating with an icon leather chaise longue to relax in front of the log burning fire and flat TV. A great room to watch the trains go by! The kitchen area has all the mod cons, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine/dryer. Luxury white quartz work tops and high quality units and fittings are a beautiful contrast against the original wooden floor. Either dine at the breakfast bar or on the round dining table.
From the wooden floor hallway leads you to the bedrooms, one has a King bed and TV with a feature brick wall, the second with two singles.
Feel spoilt as you walk in the spacious shower with the choice of a rain water shower head or a second lower shower head, the traditional style fittings, toilet and hand basin are suited to the age of the building. Quality shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and towels are all provided for you.
We do allow max 2 dogs with an additional charge of £15 per dog per stay. Please note we don't provide child safety equipment.

Experience luxury and comfort at The Jodrell Suites. Our four exquisite short stay apartments, share the entrance hallway but are all completely independent. Three have log-burning fires but all have showcasing stunning original features.
Each apartment boasts high-quality fittings and is meticulously furnished to create a harmonious blend of modern convenience and timeless charm.
Whether you choose to book an individual apartment or all four for a grand gathering, The Jodrell Suites promise an unforgettable stay in a haven of elegance and style.

Please note: Mid week only renovation work is currently underway on the pub restaurant beneath the building. Contractors are aware of guest stays to avoid noisy work during occupied periods. Whilst disruption is kept to a minimum, this has been reflected in our pricing and we have to inform our guests in advance for full transparency. This will soon be a fabulous amenity for our guests.

Next to the village train station, gives easy access to Buxton and Manchester town centres, a short drive to Castleton with its famous caverns, easy reach to the Derbyshire Dales and Chatsworth and you can walk along the Peak Forest Canal from your doorstep! The village has coffee shops, local pubs and shops and close by restaurants.
Parking in the car park is paid parking but street parking is free.

The 2 bedroom William Suite and the large 1 bedroom Roger Suite are on floor level after 2 steps up.
On the first floor, accessed via the set of carpeted stairs leads you to the 2 bedroom Edmund Suite and the cosy 1 bedroom Francis Suite on the first floor All named after the Jodrell family!

The apartment is spectacular, the location is perfect for exploring the region. Car parking was not an issue. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in walking distance. All round great experience, Jane is very responsive host thank you!

Loved the accommodation, it was perfect for a family of four with two little kids. The place was right next to Whaley Bridge train station so it initially had me wondering if we would be disturbed by trains, in honesty, there was no nuisance at all and it felt as if we were at home. It was very convenient having the train station next to us as we were able to take the kids to Buxton with ease. All-in-all, a lovely family getaway.

Fabulous apartment, tastefully decorated. Parking at the station can be a challenge during the day, requires the use of the local car park which isn't always convenient. The noise of the trains really didn't cause too much trouble. Local cafes and pubs are excellent.

Lovely apartment excellent interior design. Some noise from station and people as right opposite it and needed blinds down for privacy in some rooms when trains came in. Some noise during the day from builders working on restoring the pub/restaurant on ground floor. Right near lovely cafes, couple of shops and canal walks.
