'Kingfisher' is a beautifully appointed studio apartment with a king size bed and separate shower room with power shower. It has a small dining area and ‘kitchenette ‘, with microwave, fridge, kitchen sink and separate hob. All kitchen/dining ware is supplied. There is an outdoor dining area and access to 8 acres of beautiful grounds with lake and burn.
Nestled beside the Burnhope Burn, in the picturesque village of Edmundbyers; Burnside offers a relaxing and comfortable stay in beautiful, tranquil surroundings and a full English breakfast served in our beautiful sunroom.
Golf, fishing and sailing nearby, or stunning walks and cycling to suit any level; not to mention Hadrians Wall, Beamish Museum, The Derwent Reservoir, Hexham, Corbridge, Blanchland, Stanhope and Barnard Castle within easy reach, you will never be short of some thing to do.
Our unique and comfortable apartments have central heating, bed linen and towels all included in the price and are equipped with full kitchen and bathroom facilities, there is also plenty of seating outdoors in the beautiful garden for dining or just taking time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Outside you can take a stroll around the eight acres of grounds and sit by the lake watching the dragonflies, moorhens and ducks, or wander by the burn and maybe catch sight of a kingfisher or heron.

Wayside Cottage is our self-catering holiday cottage situated in Edmundbyers itself. It is a beautiful, stone built property, one of the oldest in the village, sleeping two people in a comfortable king size bed. Again, all bedding and towels are provided, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a unique corner bath, and everything is kept cosy and warm with a beautiful log burner.
There are two village pubs, only a five minute walk away, with excellent beers and food, and an abundance of top class restaurants locally. There is also a small shop and post office in the nearby village of Blanchland, a 10 minute drive away.

Unfortunately, we don’t allow pets to stay in out apartments at Burnside or Wayside. If your dog stays in a vehicle or trailer, please contact me for more information.

We look forward to seeing you at The Burnside, and whatever you chose to do while staying, you will be sure to leave totally refreshed, relaxed and already planning your next stay!

My wife and I only stayed for one night but we had a wonderful day and night in a truly beautiful location. We stayed in the Kingfisher cottage which was excellent and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we have had and we have stayed in a few B&B's over the years.Jenna our host was very warm, friendly and helpful. If Jenna went on 4 in a Bed,she would be a winner.

A perfectly relaxing stay in a sublime rural setting. The location is remote but with a small village near by (eat at The Punch Bowl). Jenna is a wonderful host who also cooks ace breakfasts. It was exactly what we hoped for, thank you.

Visited to see my cousins who once every year join up at one cousin or another to have a chat and relive old memories.

We were visiting Edmundbyers to pick up a puppy, but living 300 miles away, needed overnight accommodation. The owners are friendly and helpful particularly as we had to arrive late due to traffic delays. The room and setting are very pleasant and we would have been happy to have stayed longer if we were holidaying in the area. Delicious breakfast in the spacious bright breakfast conservatory.
