Amazing host clean room

Room was cute and had most items a regular hotel room would have. Great location for where we were going as well; right by the Grand River. Unfortunately it was -20 that day and the room was not appropriately heated for our arrival. Washroom was 14 and main room was 16, and it took 4+ hours to get the heat up using the gas fireplace. We changed our plans so we were out of the room as it was just too cold. Response from our contact re: heat wasn't great either.

Perfect location to restaurants , venues, markets and shopping for the local artists wares. Walking distance for all . The suite had everything we needed.

We stayed at the Gingersnap for a wedding at the Elora Mill and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! John was extremely accommodating and responsive!

Place was clean and easy access.The bathroom door does not operate. Unable to close for privacy from inside bathroom!

Adorable space, perfect for 2

We had booked the room for three nights. We left after the second night because my wife and I felt uncomfortable because of the cleanliness and smell. We were refused a refund for the last night.When we arrived it was raining and the front door has no eaves trough so the water from the roof is pouring in front of the door. It is impossible to not get soaked. The room got water on the floor so we cleaned up the water with a towel and quickly realized the floor was very dirty as evident by the dirt on the towel. Other problems with cleanliness include a dirty bathroom floor, dust on the furniture and the waste basket not emptied and overflowing from the previous guest. The bed was not made well and because of the other problems, we question if the sheets were changed. The whole place could use a good cleaning. My wife felt icy there because of the cleanliness.We noticed that around 6PM both nights that there is a strong sewer smell. It is hard to tell but it didn't seem to be coming from the drains in the room? For whatever reason it was gone around 10PM. It was quite bad the second last night and very strong.The bed was comfortable, the shower nice and big, lots of hot water, the location is perfect if you want to walk around Elora, parking was good...I don't like to write a bad review but I think it is important to be honest with our experience. It's hard to give a good review if you leave a day early, especially when you paid for it.

Nice room, the air conditioner is loud for watching tv and sleeping, but we liked the room!! And we had fun at all the shops, restuarants, bars and the gorge!! Thank you!!!
