SS B4 Riverside Condo

Family trip for a destination wedding. The condo was just as advertised. Nice quiet space that we enjoyed while we were there. Kitchen had everything we needed for the minimal cooking we did. Convenient location to most things in New Braunfels. Nice pool. We enjoyed our stay.

Dirty dishes. Cobwebs. Lots of dust. Iron doesn't work.

The communication was great! I loved how easy the check in was and when I had a question, an answer came very quick. The condo was clean but I think we may have been the first summer guests after the winter break because there were cobwebs but no bugs. That would have been a real problem for me. I repeat, ZERO bugs! The kitchen is stocked with a lot of dishes, wine glasses, coffee mugs, pots and pans, etc...which was great because I cooked during our stay and all of those things were helpful. We were on a ground floor but still had a nice balcony with a view of the river. Loved that! Very quiet too. All in all I loved our little place.*Notes for future guests: 1. The closet is in the bathroom. It took me a minute to figure out. haha! There are no hangers so bring your hanging clothes on hangers!2. The television is Roku only. If you don't know how to use this system, you will not have television privileges. lol It's like being grounded as a kid. I finally figured out the music system then found Amazon Prime!! But wow...what an ordeal. Too much time spent just for TV.3. There is a bed in the bedroom, a bunk bed up high above the desk area and a roll away bed. However, the space is small. Four adults would be a tight squeeze in this space. 4. **Note to host: The chair under the bunkbed has a broken leg that is likely to break if sat on. I moved it to sweep and noticed how weak it was.All in all it was a wonderful stay! We would stay here again. Thank you!

Read the fine print!!! Although the price was lower than most, once the pet rent was applied it nearly doubled. The walls are paper thin so we could actually hear the neighbors conversation and the lady next door had 4 cats who kept coming over which the dogs didn’t love. When you tried to sit on the back patio the dogs upstairs would bark non stop. I have photos of how dusty the place was upon arrival and wanted to let the management company know about the dirty patio and dust everywhere but she got very defensive. Every time we got a email or text it was here a fee there a fee. A lady from the management company in her own words said “We apologize you are unsatisfied. This is not a high end property and is priced accordingly.” The good things about it were, the bed was comfortable, not the pillows though. They had all the pot and pans and dishes you need. They Supply a ton of towels for the stay.Would not ever stay here again.

Pros: rental agency was easy to deal with and check in was convenient. The condo was pretty centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Nice view and complex was very quiet. Pool was clean and condo is dog friendly. Cons: THE BED WAS AWEFUL. The frame was wobbly and squeaked with every small movement and the mattress might have been the worst I have ever slept on. We could barely get out of bed after the 1st night. I had to sleep on the cot and my husband on the couch. The AC seemed to struggle during the day although it did cool down at night. If the bed was replaced I would definitely recommend it

Overall the property needs some TLC. Furniture was old and needed cleaned, Patio furniture was dirty and local stray cats were everywhere, Gated parking was a plus.On the day of arrival we were notified that we could not have outside guests. This was a surprise as the reason for the trip and VRBO was for a graduation and seeing family. Further, the pool was busy with Condo Residence and their guest, so that was off limits as well. We have used VRBO before and have not had restrictions like these. Also, if we would have know that we couldn’t have guests visit we would not have booked. Very disappointing.

We only needed the space to sleep. And it was fine for that. The apartment is very basic, and a little rundown. Also, it is tiny. The river isn’t accessible unless you walk down a steep incline and there is one small area where you can get in, but the banks are very overgrown and not conducive to Spending time there. There was peeling paint, and the soap holder was ripped off of the shower wall, so if you are expecting something nice, this is not your place. However, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, and the property did exactly what we booked it to do, gave us a comfortable place to sleep in a good location.

Reviewer Comments: THE PERSON MOVES FURNITURE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FROM 10PM TO 12 PM YOU HEAR IT DRAGGING ON THE FLOOR THE AC DID NOT WORK BUT MAINTENANCE DID TAKE CARE OF THE LOW FREON BUT DID NOT REPLACE THE AIR FILTER IT WAS MISSING WHEN WE CAME BACK.THE FRONT BED ROOM SMELLED LIKE SOME ONE SMOKED IT THERE IT WAS A GOOD LOCATION AND NO OTHER PROBLEMS

Bugs, smoke smell, and fleas made this stay unsatisfactory. I realize the property has full time tenants next door that may contribute to these factors. We would choose a no pet, single property, with no adjoining neighbors next time.
