Spacious penthouse with balcony and panoramic mountain views

Our family of 4 including 2 teen boys stayed here for 6 nights. We loved the apartment and would recommend 150% - jaw dropping views with outdoor table and chairs for dining. Super clean and very well stocked with dishes, pots etc but also with extras like plastic ziplock bags and aluminum foil. We cooked all meals here - the main grocery store was a 5 minute walk away. The appliances were high end and everything in the apartment was high quality and in great condition. Grindelwald was a great home base for so many hikes in the Alps and we appreciated the parking spot and used our rental car nearly every day. Only thing we didn’t love was the laundry situation on floor 0 (apartment is 4th floor) - bring CH Franc coins and your patience as the dryers aren’t like in the US - a typical load of laundry took 3-3.5 hours to wash and dry.

Our first time in Grindelwald and it was incredible! The place is beautiful and well appointed. It is located very centrally to the best part of the village, and a short 20 min walk to either the terminal for Jungfrau or 20 mins the other way to the lift for Grindelwald First. We spent all of our down time on the large balcony watching the light change on Eiger, which looms larger than life in front of you.Sunny days and the sounds of cow bells are memories we will cherish forever. Last note is that the stairs can be daunting for this place. It was five flights and there is no elevator. There is no laundry in the apartment so we made many trips up and down as this was the mid point of our trip and our only stop with laundry. But the stairs were totally worth the stay and the view. We would highly recommend staying here!

Overall... a great place to experience Grindelwald.

Wonderful openplan apartment that feels spacious and yet cosy. Very well equipped and tastefully furnished. Great ski and boot storage room downstairs too. Very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We stayed here with a group of five(ages 17-68). The apartment is absolutely spectacular and the views are even more incredible than the pictures can show. The layout, functionality and location are perfect for exploring town or getting to the terminal for skiing. The only drawback to this apartment is the lack of elevator for hauling luggage or for tired, aging feet at the end of the day. It’s a full four flights up to reach the penthouse and was a challenge for our parents. However, five stars is still what we rate our stay as the entire experience was worth the extra effort on everyone’s behalf! 100% recommend this lovely place.

Very clean, spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed. Short walk to groceries, train station, restaurants and shopping. Even the First gondola is just a few minutes walk. Owner was easy to work with and communicated quickly. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Great location and awesome views! Place was extremely clean and well appointed. Grindelwald is perfect location for outdoor activities. Only short walk to train station and shops/restaurants from apartment.
