Spacious Home Steps From Gettysburg Square!

Very clean. Beautiful property. Perfectly located for quick walks for coffee or eating. I did both. Plenty of rear parking. Two things that lowered my review: Master bed frame is broken. You fall into the center of the bed. The walls are so thin you hear everything outside like it is in the rooms with you. Middle Street sounds like an interstate. It is a main throughway in town, and you hear every vehicle.

This was a charming Civil War property with private parking. It was just a stones throw from everything we needed. Listing could be more accurate regarding bedrooms and bathrooms.

The beds were comfy and the home was in the perfect location. We loved it.

Wonderful location for a trip to historical Gettysburg. You’re within walking distance to many sites. Beautiful old home with lots of character. The woodwork throughout is gorgeous, especially the staircase! The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. After a day of walking throughout town the backyard deck and firepit is a very appreciated extra. We stayed here with my daughter and son in law and we had plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable. The communication was top notch. Thank you again for allowing us to rent your beautiful home. I’m anxious to see what you do with it in the future.

My wife, daughter and I stayed two nights leading up to freshman drop off at the college. This location was perfect. Easily walkable to campus and the square. Off street parking was perfect. The deck and backyard were great to have available. We would 100% stay here again.

The Getty House was in a perfect location, walking distance to many sites, great restaurants and shops. The house is comfortable and clean. We'd definitely consider it again should we find ourselves in town again.

We really enjoyed our stay for our son’s college graduation. The house was very clean, well-equipped, and in a fantastic location, just steps from shops and restaurants. The lawn and back porch with fire pit were lovely for relaxing with family.Unfortunately, a major power issue affected our stay. We received an email from the owner around 5 p.m. saying a maintenance person would stop by that evening to address an outage in two bedrooms. We were home all evening, but no one ever came. With the AC units unable to power on, the bedrooms were very warm and uncomfortable, especially tough after a long graduation day. Even the lights didn’t work, so we used cell phone flashlights. My husband spent much of the night trying to figure it out and eventually, around 4 a.m., discovered that the multiple AC units were tripping the breaker. The next morning, we got a message asking for a favor, for us to take the trash cans to the curb, no mention of the repair or follow-up. The following day brought an automated review request.It’s a shame, because this could have been a perfect stay. The house is great, but the lack of follow-through and an uncomfortably hot, sleepless night really impacted our experience.

We had an amazing stay at the Getty House celebrating my graduation from seminary. The house was comfortable and spacious enough for all 7 of us. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at the fire pit and playing games at the dining room table. Everything in town was within walking distance and we did a lot of shopping and sightseeing. It was a wonderful way to spend our week together.

Great place to hang out with our first timers in Gettysburg! The boys especially liked the bath tub and back staircase! We liked the firepit. The location was ideal to walk many places. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

There was a ceiling fan coming out of the ceiling. The heat did not work well. There were air conditioning units hooked up to the windows with sheets to keep the cold air out. Cleaning supplies were left out on the dresser, the beds were old and worn out with extremely hard mattresses. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a peice of flooring coming up from the floor (broken wood flooring).

We had a wonderful stay at the Getty House . The house was clean and nice . Nice to have parking in the back . We seldom used the car as we were within walking distance of tours , restaurant , shopping ( including a nice grocery ) just down the street . The host were in touch to see how things were going and immediately replied to emails . Would definaltely reccomend a stay there for anyone !

Very convenient to the museum, battlefied, restaurants and shopping. Loved the firepit!

We stayed here over the weekend for a friend’s wedding. Was easy to get to and we enjoyed the fact that everything was close. The host was easy to get in touch with if we needed anything.

This historical town Echoes throughout the buildings that remain. This home despite its modernity on the inside still Harkens back to the style of the 19th century. The Cozy creaking floors the dark Rich Wood and the classical structure lend themselves to relaxing reminiscing and reflection. So very happy I chose this place to stay.
