Santa Monica, California
Across the street from Santa Monica Beach, The Beacon, built in 1928, transports you back to Old Hollywood. Lounge in an art deco cabana and dip your toes in the hot tub. Catch a Pacific sunset while sipping a tropical drink from rooftop bar, The Coco Club. Through the lobby, Layla features delicious Middle Eastern dishes and elevated cocktails in a stylish setting. It's your stay for relaxation. Each room features modern amenities with a classic touch — soaking bathtubs for winding down and a Roku TV to binge your latest series. Downstairs, the fitness room has free weights and treadmills. You'll have several hiking options nearby, like Los Liones Canyon Trail. Play classic carnival games on the Santa Monica Pier, or ride the only solar-powered Ferris wheel in the world. Endless food options are nearby, starting with the locally sourced catch of the day at The Albright. From sunny beaches and state parks to Downtown LA, The Beacon has it all.

Home Truths
You may hear construction noise from renovations on the elevator and late-night noise from the rooftop bar. White noise machines and earplugs are available upon request. We apologize for any inconvenience.
There are no laundry facilities or cable. We've provided a Roku for streaming.
Well-appointed comfortable unit. Excellent service. M
You know it's a red flag when you enter a property, they have ear plugs, and a note saying, cities can be noisy. no it's just the outdated properties that the Sonder group likes to acquire. I've stayed in 3 different Sonder properties--this is my last. Each one has been located on a very busy--noisy--street. All have vintage windows--you can hear people on the street having conversations--as well as any of your neighbors in the adjacent units. If Sonder noted in their description of the property that these are vintage properties with thin windows and walls, it would be fair to potential guests. They should also reflect this in the price. They are basically running hostels, but charging hotel prices. Avoid.
Thanks. We enjoyed our stay
