I stayed here for my birthday hoping for somewhere I could go, forget the world and switch off. I wasn't disappointed. The hut is small, but warm, modern and extremely comfortable but the views across the Glen are indescribable, woke up to a cloud inversion toward Dunkeld on the first morning - a memory that will stay with me. I have to say, the customer service is above and beyond also. Everyone i deal with was incredibly helpful and flexible and made me feel right at home.

We enjoyed our stay immensely at the Curlew Shepherds hut. The location is all you could wish for: fine hiking opportunities at your doorstep. And the design of the hut! So so lovely: from curtains to a cozy woollen blanket. We’ve slept like roses under the thick duvet. And are leaving only to come back again.

We had a really nice break at Curlew Shepherds Hut this week for a three night stay. Everything that you need for a quiet break, clean, comfortable and very peaceful. Just what we needed.

We stayed at the Curlew Cabin on the Atholl Estate and it was a clean comfortable tiny home with all the equipment we needed. It had fabulous views over the countryside. The directions to get to the cabin were somewhat clear bit it would have been helpful to realise that the cabin was not on Blair Atholl estate but 12 miles away on another part of the estate.

A very safe stay in peaceful, beautiful open countryside. Shepherd’s Hut is equipped with everything you need and is in superb condition and very comfortable. Tawny owls were out at night, grey wagtails & dippers were feeding at the small pool of water on the stream and red grouse were on the moorland. A very warm welcome from the Housekeeper who kindly loaned me her binoculars as I’d forgotten mine. Very generous and trusting. Highly recommend a stay here for a solo traveller or couple.

Great location, peaceful and tranquil but not too far from amenities. A short distance from great attractions.

Having found the shepherds hut up a secluded driveway we were stunned by the view, even rain couldn’t stop us from admiring the amazing Scottish countryside. The hut was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed for our short stay. Having booked in June we weren’t expecting to need the fire or heating but it was very welcome as the weather turned and so we lit the fire. We particularly enjoyed seeing the deer run across the field infront of us one evening and the birds joining us each morning. A lovely stay - thank you for finding a great spot to put the hut!

A beautiful hut perched on a hillside with stunning views. Just what we needed. The bed was so comfy and it had everything we needed for a weekend. Just sorry we didnt book for 3 nights.

We were so impressed by the location and the view. The hut is really well designed and tastefully decorated. The neighbouring hut is nearby but positioned thoughtfully so as not to be intrusive nor particularly visible. Outdoor furniture was great to relax on (but we couldn’t find the hammock which I was looking forward to lying on… perhaps it was broken?). Thanks for a lovely stay - I would book again.

The Shepherds huts were really comfortable and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities you may need. Wood stove inside, fire pit outside in the lovely sitooterie. The location is amazing, views are stunning and on a clear night, the skies are unreal. We would definitely come back again!

Booked the Curlew hut as it was close by and dog friendly. As someone who is always on the go and connect via phone and email I was a little skeptical to have no WiFi or TV but we honestly don’t miss it. There is great phone signal so you are not completely cut off. The views were beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed for 2 nights. To be honest we didn’t want to leave and could easily have done another night or 2. The bed was cosy and comfortable, sitting out by the fire out at night and watching the sunrise was just the break we needed from life. Would certainly recommend and would book again.

Our stay in the Shepherds Huts far exceeded our expectations. We slept soundly on the coziest bed, enjoyed time connecting quietly by the fire, made small feasts for ourselves with everything available in the kitchen and were blown away by the scenery and accessibility of nature and the estates nearby. Our only regret was not staying longer!

We loved our two nights stay in the Curlew Hut! The location is beautiful, it is so peaceful and the view is stunning. The accommodation is great, it has everything you need and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Great that it is dog friendly with a bowl, dog treats and poo bags available. Our little dog loved sniffing around the area and watching all the wildlife. We also took advantage of the free entry to the Castle grounds which is a lovely extra we weren’t expecting. Just a note to say, make sure you follow the instructions provided about how to get up to the huts, Google Maps wants to take you another route! We would definitely stay again
