Single-storey apartment in a 4-star chalet on the slopes

Michel was an excellent host, super flexible with check-in time (our flight was delayed, we arrived there after midnight). We stayed at the ground floor of the Chalet, which has a bbq area and a table outside. We could see the chairlift from the window in the morning. It is basically ski-in/ski-out in normal circumstances. As snowboarders, we had to walk 50m, which is quite acceptable. The only thing is the toilet, we thought there were two toilets but there are in fact two showers and one toilet, It was 7 of us, we managed it with one toilet but I guess 7 or more than 7 ppl, it would start to become uncomfortable. Overall, we really liked the place and the host...two thubms up to Michel. :-)

This Chalet is perfectly situated above the Berger's area lifts and ski school meeting point. This is the second time we've booked this apartment for our annual ski trip. The chalet is really warm thanks to under floor heating which comes on overnight so it's lovely and warm on your bare feet first thing in the morning. There is also a wood fire if needed in the evening. There were 8 of us in the ground floor apartment, and there was still loads of hot water for the last person in the queue! The kitchen has all mod cons including large fridge, oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine etc and we were able to create some fabulous meals and also enjoyed eating out a couple of times. There is a free bus service from the chalet area to the supermarket so easy to top up on supplies if you want to self cater some meals (take shopping bags) Half our party drove and the other half flew to Grenoble and used Ben's Bus to transfer to resort. The week we had was sunny and so we used the patio for our picnic at lunchtime as the ski in ski out was so easy. I rented sheets and towels from the owner as I didn't want to take my own. If we come to Alpe Dhuez again, I would definitely use this Chalet as it is so wonderful to put your skis on at the door and ski down to the first lift of the day and be at the top of the mountain ahead of all the ski school groups. Fantastic!

We were a group of 7 adults staying in the Chalet for 7 days. The location for skiing cannot be bettered, with a green slope a matter of 2/3 metres from the entrance! The views over look a selection of green slopes and in clear weather you can see the majority of Alpe d'Huez. The chalet itself was great with 3 bedrooms all of a good size for 2 adults, with an additional person on the sofa bed. The kitchen has a good selection of equipment which perfectly suited our needs (we cooked 6 nights we were there). Michel was brilliant and made us feel very welcome. He even helped drive us down to our bus transport very early in the morning on our departure day. If I were to return to Alpe d'huez I would definitely be contacting Michel to stay here again.

We were 4 adults and 4 children sharing this 3 bedroom apartment and would highly recommend it. Clean, quiet, comfortable, direct access to the slopes, helpful owner and everything you would need for a great vacation. We would definitely book it again if we returned to Alpe D'Huez.
